NCSoft released this mysterious, 9-minute teaser trailer for the game.

Called simply "AION Vision", it shows sweeping visual upgrades to the game, along with a battle sequence that MMO fans could only dream of. There's even a Shadow of the Colossus cameo.

It's obviously hinting at the direction NCSoft hope the MMO will be taking in the near future, but question is, when - if ever - will this stuff be implemented? And when it is, will anyone on Earth have a PC that can actually run it?

Also it is hard to imagine a battle system to be like a hack and slash game, which is what that showed more or less.

I've read that Aion is just a grind fest.

Quite an impressive trailer though, lovely environments.

It wouldn't work IMO, it's too graphically enhanced for something like an MMO, it would distance itself from many potential users.

You'd need a great computer to be able to run that with all the high detailed models running around. Unless they are very flexible with the visual configurations.

I think it looks great. I was intrested in playing Aion when it came out. I just dont have the time to invest in a new MMO.

MMOs to be successful need to be able to run on toasters, like WoW. This one doesn't appear to follow the successful formula.

Well, the version of the game we have right now runs on my laptop. I don't think the requirments will increase, you will need a powerful computer only if you want those graphics.

And as people has said, it's likely just lifting the maximum graphics you'll be able to enjoy in this game, not cutting the current requirements.

The video is awesome. Apparently a lot of what is in there is actually going to be going live (in Korea at least) in the next few months. Stuff like player housing and mounts. I read as soon as this winter. Obviously if it's in the video then much of it has been built already.

You can tell the stuff at the end is more concept type stuff.  Even the caption implies it's more of a direction going forward than something that's imminent.

The graphics improvements look incredible. It'll need a decent machine but it shouldn't be that bad, it's similar to the graphics in Age of Conan and my computer runs that pretty well and it's hardly state of the art.

I'm enjoying Aion quite a bit already and can't wait for these changes to go live! I know my girlfriend is super excited about the housing in particular.
