Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time is the ninth game in the series over a span of seven years. In their latest Full Moon Show podcast, developer Insomniac Games hinted that their popular franchise is heading to a new direction. Ryan Schneider, the Community Director of Insomniac Games, made the following statement:

I think the next step for Ratchet and Clank is simply getting it out into the mainstream, which is what we’re working to do. And I think that it’s been ready for that kind of exposure for a long time now.

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time came out on October 27th exclusively for the Playstation 3.

Sounds like Insomniac will be making the next Ratchet and Clank game and will try too make the series even bigger.

Mainstream...? Multiplat? o_o; Hmm, I dunno. What does he mean by mainstream?

Rachet and Clank is an IP owned by Sony it will not go multiplat they will have to create a new IP . This was already started by the CEO that they would consider multiplat in another IP

Mainstream? fuck... i dont want another FPS

A movie! I bet they mean a movie!

They have already stated that they're planning a movie, once they can find the right partners

Just add multiplayer like back in the good old PS2 Ratchet and Clank games and I'm more than sweet for the next Ratchet Game!
