All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Modern Warfare 2 is now among the 50 best selling games of all time.

Mario Kart Wii was, I believe, the best selling title in its first 12 months from initial launch (in other words, no title sold as much in that title's first 12 months), and it sold 15.16 million.

Modern Warfare 2 has, in 12 days, sold 66% of what any title has ever managed to sell in 12 months. That sure as hell is impressive.

And it should beat Mario Kart Wii's 12 month record too, by a few million.

Modern Warfare 2 has a very good chance at becoming one of the top 5 non-Nintendo titles of all time. The current top 3:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas -  >20 million, not sure by how much (we don't know the PC sales). Likely is 21-22 million

Vice City - 17-18 million

The Sims - 16.08 million

Gran Turismo 3 - 14.89 million

World of Warcraft - 11.84 million  (this is rather old, it's likely to be over 13 million at least)

And Modern Warfare 2 will make sure that for the first, and possibly last, time this generation, a non-Nintendo title will be topping the yearly chart.
