Maybe the economy IS improving.

Eh then again I seem to recall movie theatres doing really good money... leading to the popularisation of horror movies for the first time.

People tend to buy more entertainment products when the economy is bad. Theaters have done very, VERY well this year and is greatly outpacing last year's cume. There've been a lot of standout surprises like Taken and The Hangover which did insane at the box office, despite the thought they would do poorly.

Sans some people's opinion of New Moon, it's been one of the smartest years at the Box Office, too. You had top-tier, well reviewed movies do insanely well while bad ones got pummled. I guess the age of Twitter and Facebook is greatly helping spread news about good movies.

All did above-average at the BO, and were very good movies. I know I've watched more movies this year at the BO than just about any other. Oh, and we still have Avatar this year. Worldwide, it was the same as Ice Age 3 came from nowhere and ripped up the worldwide BO.

Interesting. Come to think of it this year there were a lot of movies I actually wanted to see... Inglorius Bastards and Zombieland at the top of the list.

Problem with me is... I can't stand the Box Office.

It was bad enough in Ohio... now that i live in Las Vegas it's over $20 before you get through the gates if i take my girlfriend out.

Tickets are only 7-10 $ here in Nashville and the surrounding areas. Lower for the military at certain places.

In my opinion, as long as the theatre isn't packed to the brim with clappers (people who clap during movies), babies(they cry..), little kids (THEY TALK OUT LOUD), or college kids (they make sly jokes during the movie) then it is a wonderful experience.

The strange thing is that I have seen 2 of those movies in theaters and 3 on video. All were great, but I got interested through regular movie trailers. I guess for the people who were not "in the know" though, social sites might have had a big role. I know for certain it did on paranormal activity.

But transformers and GI Joe doing well also meant there was plenty of crappy movies that made a buttload of money.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... Still though, congrats to the movie. The movie should do a good bit better than the first, although I doubt its longevity.

The Twishite saga sucks donkey balls !
First twishite, now new moan ? This is depressing.

Twishite fans are extremely annoying, popping up on every single music video on youtube saying how the particular song would be awesome for "twishite"
Its probably the worst movie I have seen in recent times. Horrible dialouge. Horrible concept and utter LAMENESS.
