Forums - Gaming Discussion - MW2 online is inferior to KZ2 online without a doubt

KZ2 is much more epic and hectic with 32 players in the room.with 10 turret bots,8 air support,etc...

You're right, KZ2 is much more epic and hectic. 32 player matches are braindead mindless clusterf***'s that can get much worse than MW2. This is exacly one thing I really hated about KZ2. Dual grenades, small corridors, assault class, spawn grenades.....this game is a giant mess if you're not playing on the smaller servers.

KZ2's Search'n'Destroy mode is horrible. It just promotes abuse of certain classes. Many servers resort to disabling the broken ones - the prob there is that there's not very many classes to begin with so when you disable the problem ones, you're removing the very little variety that the game has.

Take time to browse through the unlocks. Reaching max level in KZ2 took an extremely small amount of time. Not only does it take much longer in MW2, but there's tons more weapons/etc in the game. Not to mention, dual wep attachments if you're using the Bling perk. Besides that, there's just much more gametypes to choose from. I was really disappointed that KZ2 doesn't even have CTF, which has always been a fav of mines in pretty much every shooter. Overall, the game just has much more features and replay value.

KZ2's movement/aim speed is also stupidly frustrating sometimes. Many people said it was there to make the game more "tactical", but games like CoD:UO and CSS prove that you can have a tactical/slow paced game without having to hinder the player's movement.

KZ2 does have some great stuff in it (for me personally, the feel of the weapons) but there's a few things about it that really bother.

Most people disagree so you're in the minority of opinion here. Since its yours vs theirs and there are a lot more of 'them' than you...

Sales are always determinative of quality, yup.  ;)

Sales, reviews, user feedback. Whatever barometer you want to set, Modern Warfare 2 has it beat.

I have to agree with the SpartanFX's opinion MW2 just didn't seem impressive to me either after playing KZ2.

I have to respectfully disagree. Modern warfare 2 is probably one of my favorite online shooters ever. And while KZ2 is awesome it's just not as good as MW2.

If all 3, yeah, I agree.

Sales alone are not, we will certainly agree on that I hope.  *cough* advertising.

Reviews, better, but see the review scores of GTA Boring IV.

User feedback is the very thing at issue.  Check user reviews on various online sources and I don't think MW2 is nearly always beating KZ2.   (of course, many people may be bashing MW2 b/c of the online/PC version debacles, but hey...)

Outside of the stupid PC haters, the large majority of people are enjoyed the game.

Tell that to Soap McTavish ;)

Anyhoo they're both amazing games but MW2 is more my style. I really like Killzone 2 but IMO MW2 is better.

MW2 - 9.3 (terrible campaign keeps it from greatness)

KZ2 - 9.1

killzone 2 destroys MW2, they shouldn't even be in the same conversation. But that is all opinion, it is more of a personal preference really seeing as they provide 2 totally different experiences.

mw2 is a low tech, last gen, arcade shooter, with super easy controls, every weapons is the same, its fast paced, and highly noob friendly. requires no skill, no teamwork, no tactics, no strategy, is not a battlefield, but more than anything it provides instant gratification for kills, but off all that, MW2 never wanted to be any of those things so you can't knock it.

killzone2 on the other hand, requires a massive amount of skill, a massive amount of dedication,
requires massive amounts of teamwork, strategy, tactics, and is not noob friendly at all. it's also unforgiving, steep learning curve. matches force you to think for more than 8 minutes, and for more than 1 game mode. the battles are way more intense (when skilled players are playing) and is class based. killzone2 is for the higher level gamer looking for a deeper experience, the clan support is were killzone2 really shines.

so really it is all about preference. what do you want.......
noob friendly, arcade shooter, that provides instant high level of gratification for killing.
or
intense, full fledged battles, that requires skill, teamwork, tactics, and strategy, forces you to think or be destroyed, and requires a great amount of dedication to feel gratification.
