Forums - Sales Discussion - So, Tony Hawk Ride?

This has released now and there's no discussion about it. It looked like it was a pretty big game for Activision, along with DJ Hero. They developed a relatively high tech, purpose built peripheral for it after all. It's getting good reviews though, even if they're coming post release. DJ Hero has predictably flopped, are we simply expecting the same from THR?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

yes i see it flopping sales wise skating is dead its not as big as it once was in the late 90s also im not feeling the whole board thing thats wat turned me off

the trend now is to be EMO not a skater

theres nomore shows like viva la bam or jackass either back wen tony hawk games were selling good they had bam in the game with the the underground series the trend is just gone now almost like the nfs with fast and furious went together

Tony Hawk got driven into the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if no one bought Ride. I think it's time for a new SSX myself...

Good reviews? it got a 1/5 from G4 and a 58 from game informer. Expect many more under 50 reviews. this game is absolute garbage. The controller doesn't even work.

I'd love to see that G4 review! And Game Informer giving an Activision game a low score? That was unheard of last gen!!

Oh, well I only took a quick look at metacritic for that, and it had a small number of reviews but none below 90%
