Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reggie disappointed that games like COD MW2, Assassin’s Creed arent on wii

I don't even see how Assassin's Creed would work with the Wiimote, aside from the stabbing motion of the concealed blade(s).

As for COD, Treyarch have recently created Reflex, so it's not like Activision are ignoring the Wii.

Reggie's disappointment won't help bridge the gap between HD and Wii.

Not every game has to use the Wiimotes 'waggle' features.  Many recent third party games didn't.  And many recent third party games even let you swap it out for the classic controller or GameCube controller.  In fact ,every game I've bought in the last 6 months aside from New Super Mario Bros Wii has allowed you to use the Classic Controller and/or GameCube controller as an alternative controller except for Little Kings Story.  And that game didn't use any 'waggle' features.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

When Microsoft wanted certain games on their system they got out their checkbook. Is Reggie willing to "pay the price"? lol

Nintendo did the exact same for Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube they signed an exclusive deal with Capcom to keep RE4 exclusively on GCN for 6 months.

If Nintendo began writing cheques for exclusive third party content like Microsoft and even Sony does then we would get more great third party games. Come on Nintendo you have always been the most profitable games publisher why not use some of that wealth to contract out some exclusive titles?

Maybe buy up some new studios, liscense some IP's to third parties (Like you did with Donkey Konga and StarFox:Assault). Write some fat cheques to Activision/Capcom...etc... maybe even write a cheque to publishers currently giving the Wii exclusives, how about writing UbiSoft a cheque for giving us AssasinsCreed3 exclusively for Nintendo's next console.

I mean seriously Reggie can complain all he wants about us not getting the games but that is Nintendo's fault!

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Pay them money then dammit I want them too

I'm a bit disappointed too. If they were on the Wii I would probably buy them, but they are not a big enough draw to make me buy a whole new console.

Nintendo is disappointed, but they prefer their money in their own pockets

You can use the Classic Controller in Little King's Story.

Nintendo wanted to be different this gen and they are, for better and for worse. Such is life and this is merely a consequence of their decision to make a console that is vastly different.
Reggie should stop complaining and summon for a meeting on how they're gonna handle next generation and what kind of a relationship they want with 3rd parties in the future.

i think nintnedo should start by making their own games that are like AC and COD

Come on Reggie, you should be disappointed when good games skip the Wii. He is more of a marketer and businessman than a gamer. If he was a gamer he would not praise RE 5, Assassins Creed or Halo 3.
At least he is doing his job: trying to get the big sellers on the Wii.
