The game is the biggest release in the entertainment industry history and it didn't get an official thread here which is a damn shame.

The Single player is shit tbh honest. The dude who wrote the story is gotta to be one of the most retarded thing in a very long time Russia invade the US and take over the white house in 1 day !! WTF is this Red Alert 2 !!!

The levels in the single player are also boring and tedious. I got all the way to the final level but stopped I just couldn't care less about the shitty story anymore.

Now I know it seems like I'm going down hard on the game (and it's true for the SP segment) but the Mutliplayer is why I and I'm sure many others bought the game. To sum it up it's good, sure there are many things I always hate about the MP in COD games (Kill cam, Randomness, Highly dependent on luck) but it's still a real fun game and I've been playing it non stop for the last 2 days or so. I still haven't tried even one game of Spec ops doesn't  look that interesting.

My layout for the MP are this

SCAR H with 2 attachments (Heartbeat sensor and a silencer)

Cold Blooded
Steady Aim

Secondary weapon is an At4 to take all that shit in the air.

I love my first layout because it makes me almost invisible with a Silencer and CB perk only 2 ranks so I can get Ninja and hopefully Pro both Ninja and CB then I'll be a ghost ;)

So what's your impression of the game, the MP and what are your classes ?

The story is pretty shit, but the single player is amazing. Best in the series.

I really hated the Story mode. Worst one of all the CODs I've played but the online is cool, but there is too much shit in the air I mean a harrier, helicopter and a UAV and it's only 6v6 !!!

Well, SP I thought was pretty crap in terms of story, etc. Missions were fun but actually I felt lacked some of the coolness of CoD4, as with similar titles I felt the game showed a clear downward trend on SP quality.

MP is good so far for me, and I like the new maps, etc. so far. Personally, if the SP is going to be that stupid as an excuse to string together some firefights and scripted moments, I wish they'd be brave enough to produce an MP only title and leave SP out of the equation.

In the end though this is designed through and through as a populist, appeal to the majority title, so I guess it's pretty much what you'd expect as a result.

So people did you start the campaign mode on Normal, Hardened or Veteran difficulty setting? How is the Specs Op mode?

Specs Ops is fun I think - forgot to highlight that. I played higher difficulty levels but found the SP missions guilty of the weakest use of spawning, guys waiting in closets just for you, etc. and bumped it down to Normal as although it meant I shot through much quicker the missions actually felt less artificial than they had at the harder level - for me anyway.

Red Alert 2 is awesome. ;)

Disappointing to hear the SP is a step down from CoD4, I'm very big on single-player games, because let's face it, I can't waste 100+ hours on every game that comes out that has multiplayer.

I didn't like the Single player as much as I did CoD4.

In CoD4 they don't really focus on the story, you've got a bad guy that your captain tried to kill years ago and thought he succeed and his son, who are both russians trying to conquer the world (or something). That was it, you knew who your enemy was and you went for him.

But in MW2, they tried to make a story. Makarov isn't explained properly (what was he doing uptil now and why, if he is a hired gun, does he care about Zhakaev). It's far too disjointed, at least the first story in CoD4 sort of mad sense. Like I knew why I was going after the son (to get to the father duh), but I knew he was the son. I'm not sure who the guy you chased in Brazil was and I'm not sure why Captain price is in prison. CoD is known for jumping from character to character, but this one goes overboard, jumping from scene to scene. At least with CoD4 your characters stayed relatively in the same areas. It seems like Roach gets the most travels, but it is definitely annoying.

With the MP. I like the maps, but they aren't that great. Nothing truly memorable yet (though I am having fun in that level with the massive sand (?) blocks. One thing I dislike about MP this time around is that some of the maps are feeling a bit too big. I'm finding times when I won't see an enemy for at least 20 seconds (and this is me running around), even in a Ground War match with the full 18 (I think?) people.

Also, why isn't the M16 one of the first guns you unlock!! I loved the fact that one of the more powerful weapons was at your disposal from the get-go (felt more even that way).

The spec ops are really fun BTW played them for about 4 hours saturday with my wife's cousin. They really heat up when you get to Charlie Ops.

Let me tell ya Cold Blooded + Ninja + SCAR H with a Silencer and Heartbeat sensor (thank you Bling) is the best build I had so far

All the annoying air rape is gone thanks to CB and now with Ninja even guys with heartbeat can't detect me :). Can't wait to get a Pro for Both CB and Ninja I will call myself the Dark Phantom (Yea I know it's cheesy as hell :p)
