Forums - Gaming Discussion - Activision wants online fees for Call of Duty!

Activision dont even make games anymore. If they do charge for battle.net, (which is inevitable) im shredding my warcraft CD; thats what I think of them. A greedy conglomerate of a company.

Edit: Ill probably start boycotting if they really start to push my buttons.

Malstrom's been saying for a while that the games industry is just using the Hardcore

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

omg, activision sucks shit
go to fucking hell you greedy bastards !

Doesn't suprise me. I guess it's a trade-off between losing existing/potenial customers and making more money from the online server fees. If it made them more money they sure would do it. However, I don't think it's wise to bite the hand that feeds you.

All companies are looking to make more money, so it's hard to single out Activision...

^You can make money without screwing over your customers like this, look at Nintendo

This is starting to not surprise me.

and I'm talking about both the idiotic comments coming from activision and the digs at the Microsoft that seem to populate every thread, even those that barely relate to the company (a 3rd party developer's publisher is making a comment about a game that appears on one of Microsoft's gaming consoles, now's my chance to attack!).

and I'm not even speaking about the last line in the OP either. By the way, I'm pretty sure each Halo game adds to the overall plot of the Halo franchise. I'm not sure what parties, kart racing and being at the olympic games has to do with saving the princess at this point. Unless I've missed something....

HAHA, I will never buy another CoD game if they charge a fee.

~Currently Playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank: FTOD, and Resistance: Retribution~

they most be pretty high if they think iam gonna pay to play a game i already paid for

That would suck for XBL users, they are already paying to play games online...

I just hope these dispicable practices don't become the norm with all devs cause Activision is drowning in its own greed and I don't want the rest of the gaming industry to follow.
