anyone actually played the game yet?

Nearly 100k, according to sales.

But seriously, many user reviews, including this site's own review, are quite positive. I'm looking forward to this. In fact, I'll have to chose between this first or Crystal bearers first.

I found that those bad reviews that are very hard on the controls for the Wii, are usually made by people not used to the Wiimote at all.

It happens with my friends a lot. One of my friends is used to play 360, I loan him my Wii for 2 weeks because I was traveling for that time, and he suffered a lot in any game that needs precision to aim, he simply couldn't stop the pointer from moving a lot. When I came back he was used to it, and was getting headshots easily and it was difficult to go back to the dual analog sticks.

The reviewers usually doesn't have the time to get used to the controls, because they only play the single player and some of the multiplayer about 8 hours in total, they don't thinker with the control options to adjust to their needs and very fast say that the problem is with the game not with their lack of time.

I would give this game very good review, but not an excellent one, because the are some things missing from the multiplayer, they could have polished the graphics even more, and its a very late port without the DLC extras. But there is NO reason to give this anything less than a 7.

Is Gamespy really wishing dual analog made the jump to the Wii game as well?  Are they serious?  Relies heavily on aim assist?  It makes me wonder if they've ever played a game before.

Many reviewers have complained that they would have liked classic controller support in the game. It makes it easy to spot the useless opinions.

About the controls, this week i finally sat down to play Uncharted on PS3 and time and time again during shootouts i said out loud "I miss the Wiimote". Aiming with a stick is really annoying and i can't take anyone who says Dual Analoge is better than Wiimote seriously.

PS. Uncharted is a great game though

The most famous of these critics (IGN, Game Informer, Eurogamer) are also the ones that have rated it the lowest.

Sites I have never heard of have rated it higher, but without a chip on their shoulders, aren't they more trustworthy? I don't know, but this game seems good.

poor sales for a game that should not exist.
Unfortunate situation with Activision and more when World at War had a decent reception.

Saludos!!

Poor sales? An opening on par with the previous game despite almost no hype and no shelf stocking, and a second small second week drop?

If you stated what happened with World At War, you should have watched the opening sales for that.

sorry to break it down to you but sales of MW on 360 were nowhere identical to ps3 version,it outsold it quite vastly.Likewise, wii version sold quite less than the ps3 version. And still ,you know what?even the least selling version was fairly suscessful in sales and profits. i mean for crying out loud, its a freakin million. WAW for wii outsold Far cry 2 on PS3 with MUCH smaller budget(WAW port team), keep that in perspective when analyzing this stuff.
