Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Should I Buy This 360?

so i take 40*12 thats 480 dollars and i can get all the games i want even if the game is used or rental you still get it in a legal way which supports the industry. i only bought one used game which was brother in arms and the rest is from bargain bins except microsoft exclusives GTA IV bad company and fifa 09.
you should be happy that games are cheap in america. a standard edition of a game here costs atleast $70 and its price doesn't decrease until after atleast 12 months and a microsoft point card costs $65 and a gold subscription also costs $65.

Should you buy a modded 360 so you can play pirated games? No. Even considering that makes you not a gamer and I don't even know why you would come to a gaming forum.

sighhhh...it's easy to talk when you can afford all this shit guys!!! By your logic I would be able to buy consoles and no games. Which I guess would be fine cause by your logic I'm not even a gamer.

Whatever, guys, say what you want. Just please don't teach me morals.

games are cheap i mean i only take 40 dollars a month but can afford all the luxuries of gaming and i can buy every system available but i don't have enough time and i dont think its worth it. all i do is gaming so almost 90% of what i earn is spent on gaming .

OK well a good 90% of what I earn is spent on food and a roof over my head. If i were pulling in 80 grand a year, I'd buy every game ever made. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury.

perpride do you feel more happy when you pay for a game and then you enjoy it or when you pirate the same game and probably there will not be a sequel to it because of that and a good example of this are rpg.

I feel great buying things that I have. It comes with a nice box and all that. But you speak as if I have a choice. It's either own one console and play few games, or own all consoles and play every good game.

How poor are you? I probably make less than you and I don't pirate anything. I'm just curious, I don't really care if you pirate games or not.

Well dude I'll tell you what. Don't look at me as a Sony fan. Look at me as a fan of video gaming. Who also happens to not be able to afford all the games I want to play. If you did it during the PS1 days, what makes this so different? Did video gaming die? The number of pirates in comparison to people who pay for games is nothing.
  1. Who says I did it during PS1 days?
  2. It's funny you say you're a fan of video gaming except you're one of the people trying to destroy it.

Hey, I'm not the one trying to take money away from the people that poured blood, sweat, and tears into a game for 2+ years.

You do have a choice.  Break the law, or obey the law.  You obviously chose to break the law.  It's pretty funny how you act like you need to play every good game out there to survive.  Get a life.

What do you mean not have a choice?

Are you trying to imply that gaming is a necessity?  It's not like you need to play the new hot game to survive.

Why do you think you're special enough to pay x amount of money and get he hot new 360 and PS3 game while another person pays x amount of money and gets only the hot new PS3 game?  Why is your money worth more than theirs?

I don't know how you haven't been taught this yet, probably because you're use to just taking what you want I guess, but if you want everything your heart desires in life, you have to work hard for it and even then you're not guaranteed to get it.  By pirating those games your only pushing your problems on the people who sacrificed so much time to bring you those games.  If that isn't the definition of selfish and inconsiderate I don't know what is (and that's even *really* cleaning up what I really think).

btw in the ps1 era i was only 8 and i didnt know what piracy was and thats what makes a difference, i am more aware know so i buy genuine games i even bought 2 pc games which were c&c the first decade and swat 4. Everything i buy know is genuine though i have to make choices between saving for halo reach mythic/legendry bundle or going to the cinema but i almost always choose the game.
