Here's where my story starts. I RROD'd my modded 360 while I was playing Lost Odyssey for the first time through.

After that, I went out and bought an Arcade 360 and have kept it to this day. It is still under warranty and has no problems whatsoever. However, I am too chicken shit to mod it again.

I have found a guy who lives about a 20 minute drive away from me. He is selling a modded Halo 3 360 (which he claims has never had problems whatsoever) with a few games and no controller for $100. The only downside is that it is missing the flap for USB connections according to him. Should I get it? Would you trust the guy? The controller thing isn't an issue because I already have two. He says he's willing to come to Best Buy with me and pretend like it's broken, just so that I can see that it works when they test it out.

Good chance its been banned from xbox live after microsoft did the sweep earlier in the week. Id advise against it

thats is dissapointing. playstation 3 users modding 360s. I didn't expect that and i was acctually happy that the ps3 was unmodable but now i think my mind changes.

Yes yes I fully forgot to mention this in my OP. It is one of the consoles which is banned from Live. But that's not really an issue with me cause I don't even have a gold account for my current 360, not to mention I play on PSN.

Yes yes I fully forgot to mention this in my OP. It is one of the consoles which is banned from Live. But that's not really an issue with me cause I don't even have a gold account for my current 360, not to mention I play on PSN.

That also means you can't use the HDD.

Why do u buy something is defect  again? i dont get that if M$ would had MGS 4 than i wouldnt mind buying a xbox 360 but it doesnt
