Now on the serious side, just read the article and if NPD is rigth, like they say, over 600 k in October alone plus similar sales in Others and almost 100k in Japan makes the 1 mln sold to retailers WW declaration a little strange. I reckon the guy writing the news got something wrong.
Two sales source being wrong at the same time is strange. 3 if you count Famitsu, because I can't cope with less than 300k sold to retailers in OTHERs.

My english is not so good, but doesn't it mean 2 weeks?

Which would be pretty accurate with what VGC says.

He also said that this million was for the period covering release until last weekend. Couple originally meant 2, now it is used to vaguely refer to anything less than 7 or so

It's either one of two things

A) The number is actually closer to 1.5 million (like VGC reports) but since it's not exactly at it he gave this vague "over a million" statement"

Or

B) The game completely under preformed in others since we already know from both NPD and the Japanese tracking sources that it preformed well, but the real weird thing is that Others is Uncharted's strongest region and it topped the charts when it came out.

So there is something we are probably missing or the dude didn't tell us.
