I created this thread lol

And i am saying KZ2>>>>>>>>>PS360 MW2

the ps3 and 360 version look more or less the same to me. I would give the nod to the PS3 version though because 9/10 bloom effects just look like the contrast is set to full so. Even though i know the 360 version is tech superior. the ps3 version looks more appealing to me because the way the bloom was used.

But this thread is about KZ2 still being the best looking FPS on consoles. Certain 360 owners were saying look a multiplat games looks better then KZ2. 360 capable of better graphics then PS3 confirmed.

I dont mind a multiplat games looking better. But when the game in my opinion isnt a thread must be made and a graphics King can not be crowned untill it wins the graphics king thread.

MW2 like i thought it would

YOU DONT HAVE TO READ THAT WALL OF TEXT. i know i probably wouldnt lol

lol sorry I mixed your thread up with the other thread by Sardauk

killzone looks so boring, all the pic are just different shades of brown and black yawn yawn

Says the guy who owns Gears of War.

ADOIIIIIME

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

imo its the shadows in killzone which are way better than in MW2 AND NOT THE LIGHTING.

anyway, from a technical point of view:

textures: pretty much even (dont say the groundtextures in KZ2 are better please, because anyone who played MW2 knows there are maps with awesome groundtexture work!! also, even KZ2 has some ugly textures sometimes as MW2 has)

lighting: pretty much even too (KZ2 uses a lot of spotlights which gives it a different athmosphere, but MW2 has the better and stronger daylight IMO - also its more realistic)

shadows: KZ2. thats where KZ2 shines. also its dark with strong spot-lights which make this effect stand out even more.

reflexions: also pretty much even. anyone who has played MW2 knows there are some worlds / maps with awesome ground-reflexions, water- rain effects on the ground, and other where its the complete opposite.

character models: MW2

environments: MW2

animations: MW2 are nicer but KZ2 has some great "dead guys fly around when a grenate explodes near them" animations.

physics: KZ2 (yes i have to put it in the graphics comparison, because you dont see dead guys fly when something explodes near them in MW2 like you do in KZ)

particle effects: KZ2. the dust / air effects in KZ2 beats MW2. thats where KZ2 gets its athmosphere from.

going on: MW2 has much more going on than KZ2 + the scale is bigger in MW2.

smoothness: 60fps VS 30fps --> MW2 wins easily + it gives the game an awesome feeling.

Cut-Scenes: KZ2 (not really technically though).

now take art-direction into consideration:

KZ2: gray, everything blurrs when you move the right-analogstick. since-fiction. a lot of art used.
MW2: realistic look. not so much art used. colorfull.

overall: I choosed MW2 because i prefer realistic graphics @60fps over since-fiction graphics @30fps

Happy now?

also to the people that believe in sony so much that really think the PS3 is capable of more than the 360:

-MW2 runs on more fps even though it uses more graphical enhancement effects.

-Tekken 6 looks the same on both, even though it was made with the PS3 in mind.

-GTA4 was made with the PS3 in mind and the 360 version was technically superior.

oh god... you're still at this?

Er...you do realize that to have shadows...you have to have a light source creating them?

I stopped reading after that. If there's an error in your first sentence, I'm not reading the rest.

LOL!!

you actually know that lighting =/= shadows?

with shadows i meaned the shadows produced on the walls/ ground which are pixelated in MW2 and not as dynamic as in KZ2.

through the lighting you see light reflexions on the weapons / character models, character shading is also a part of the light-source. you know "high-lights" also exist in games and not only shadows?? the whole daylight everything which surrounds it and so on... you are actually pretty wrong =/.

i hope you joked with your last comment. =/

do you even own MW2??

Do you even own KZ2?

nope i dont. i played it once at my neighbours house. (he sold his PS3 and got a 360 because it runs better online though)
i also played MGS4 and i liked it more than KZ2 graphic-wise.
IMO the most beautiful games are MGS4 and RE5 anyway - but that is more due to art-design and charactermodels.

Renders all of your knocks against it invalid.

Sure you did.

Unnecessary.

You liked the art direction better. Killzone 2's graphics are much better, even a fool can see that.

I like how you decided to put "IMO" here, even though your entire post (and all before it) are your personal opinion. Learn to differentiate from opinion and fact.

What a pretty post Why aren't you banned yet, btw? Do the mods just like to watch you dig your hole deeper?

hhmm, i wonder if the helghast can be persuaded to remove these pesky clouds from their sky, and wear some clown-armor for the next installment.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
