Im about to confess a nintendo sin. you all ready? ive never played any of the paper mario series.... please dont slay me! i know i know. i should. i honestly dont know why i havent, i guess i just dont see how a game can be entertaining or fun if it doesnt have HD graphics and what not... (that was sarcasm) anyway, i havent ever played them, i dont really know why, i just never did. i will definatly AT LEAST give this upcomming paper mario game a rental.

I've played 10 minutes of the first paper Mario. I found it to be boring and simplistic. Of course, it was only the first 10 minutes, so I'm sure its actually a much better game. Of course, this game seems to be a completely different game from it's predecessors.

Well the boys at IGN just had some hands on with the game and... well... I think they liked it. "It's rare that we can so strongly endorse a title. Maybe we've become too judgmental over the years or maybe we just expect too much, but we oftentimes find that our praises of videogames are usually countered by criticisms. However, in Super Paper Mario's case, we don't have many complaints" Of course, the very next sentence is complaints. But the only notable one is that they think they might be half way through the game after 10 hours of play. But they only think that. Either way, they said the game looks gorgeous, plays wonderfully and is just plain a lot of fun.

When is it, that a 20hr title is considered "short"? When did this actually happen? My mate finished Gears in about 6-7hrs (that's what he told me anyway?). 10hrs used to be par for a game. For anyone that hasn't played it - get "Paper Mario RPG - Thousand Year Door" on the GC. I think its as fun, and close to flawless that a game can get. Every time I thought I knew what was "about" to happen, something crazy happened and the game surprised me. In places it even felt like it was "mocking me", thinking that I knew what was going to happen. The dungeon (100-levels) at the end is heaps of fun as well... I just found it a "touch" on the easy side (but not the game itself). Hm... All this Paper Mario RPG talk has me wondering. Will the platforming focus of Super Paper Mario piss off a lot of long time Paper mario fans?

I see this more as an offshoot of the series as opposed to outright sequel.

I'm just gonna say this. This is not a troll and this is not anti nintendo. I'm just gonna laugh when it is like Mario Sunshine. Totally not what was expected. Good game... yes. What you meant to buy. No.
