the funny thing about that is i keep going to purchase a Wii but everytime i go to the store i can never find enough games to play lol.

I really dont know what to look for lmao

Well, you may check these links to at least know which are the best games available: every score from 8 to 10 is OK in these lists, you may trust these guys, and see what kind of games could please you the most...

If you look at the best Wii, Wiiware, VC, DS and DSiware, you have an incredible choice, a wide variety of genres and styles, and many very original gameplays... now, if it's still not enough... i'd say: don't complain then, and try to find what you're looking for on the consoles you already have... if you can...  :)

Oh, and btw: you may buy most of these games quite cheap these days, in 2nd hand or in bargain bins and such, they're not all brand new... a lot of fun for a very nice budget if you take your time and find the best deals out there...

Around the Network

I definitely see your point, OP, but it's like all media. When one style of music becomes the rage, the market floods with bands that sound just like the originators. This is what trends are about, they come in waves, some longer than others.

I think the big thing is that FPS/Shooters are designed to be one of the most connected games, allowing people to challenge each other. Other genres try to compete, but it just doesn't have the same hook in other genres - like the music games - people like to play Rock Band and Guitar Hero locally with friends, but there's not the same amount of audience of online sessions as there are for FPS games.

FPS games are the "in" thing in gaming culture now, it may change in time, as in order to succeed as a company, a developer has to "up the ante" in order to thrive.

it is sad and i do miss the days of the old, but i fell in love with online gaming. Jrpgs fail to innovate, and the same applies to almost every other genre. The only platformer i actually enjoyed this gen was Super Mario Galaxy, which still wasn't nowhere near as good as sm64 and older mario games.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Well, the best selling fighting game of all time came out this gen - that has to be worth something, no?
