As you can probably tell from my username and sig, I am a ps3 fan. I have all HD consoles however, so I can give a non biased statement that I'm about to say. :)

Anyway, Microsoft, unfortunatley for Sony, has defeated the playstation 3 this Novemeber. This article, http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=5798,

shows that the xbox 360 has increased sales at Walmart 400%, and vghchartz is estimating about 170k in sales this week just for America. That along with the modern warfare 2 bundle, basically demollished the ps3 this november, and I don't think Sony has quite anything to fight back with.

I myself was rooting for the ps3 this holiday, I just think that it's highly unlikely.

Only in America, dunno if it'll be enough for WW but even so, PS3 will likely climb back on top.

If Microsoft need to keep its XBOX price $200 below PS3 to sell more than PS3 than its a very scary position for them.. What they will do when PS3 will be for $249 n then $199... will they be giving it away for free then.

I totally agree when Sony said that console race is a marathon not a sprint.. selling even 500k at rock bottom price is not something to be proud of.

and as someone else said that it is still only America not even NA.. if PS3 meet its 13m target then i dont think Sony will worry much whether XBOX sells 10m or 20m.. they r meeting their projection well ..

Outside america has strong demand for the ps3. X360 makes more revenue when the console is sold in Others.

EU = PS3 = More sales Japan = PS3 = More Sales America = 360 = Still at least 80K-100K for PS3

yeah, but if you look at the numbers vgchartz gave this didnt' cut into the ps3 numbers at all. it looks like the ps3 even went up a bit for the week. it will be close but even with the huge boost in USA for the week i think ps3 will still be on top for the week WW.

Lets wait and see, this week victory wont be by much, the PS3 could come back later in the month, just enough to even things out or just barley surpass the 360 come NPD, but then again i don't thing Walmart is counted in NPD?

The 360 will have to increase it sales in others and japan a bit to beat the ps3(seeing that the ps3 sales dont drop). It will be close ww this week:

we know the ps3 will sell 30-40k in japan, around 100k in america and i think it will increase slightly in Others, so 120k+. So nearly 275k for ps3 this week would be my guess. 3.5-5k in japan for the 360, 170k in america. This equals 175k so it would have to do 100k in others. If the 360 increases that much in others, i expect an even greater increase for the ps3. So i am betting on the ps3 this week, you never know though:P
