Stop with the "it costs money" bullshit. Game development isn't free, you know

It's not like it's possible to do everything that would bring profit, you know. It's not like you'd want to, either.

So...if you develop for the PS3, you won't make a profit. That's what I'm getting from this

Exactly. Was it a "risky investment" for Capcom to port SF4 or RE5 to PS3?

Did Rockstar not sell 5 million copies of GTA4 on PS3?

Lol it's ok if you want to justify Valve not porting their shooters onto PS3, but who the hell is gonna belive that it would be too risky for them to do it?

So what if he said that PSN wasn't developed enough as a platform for them to want to develop the game for that system? he didn't say anything negative about the people who played on PSN, he was only talking about the service itself.

IMO if you're having a hissy fit about this you've got issues.

Tease.

2006 called and they want their spin back.

Lol anyway I might just rent L4D 2. A friend has a 1 month trial code I can use for the online.

I don't think anyone ever said it would be risky for them to do it. I'd say that argument is something you just made up yourself. The terms used in this thread were "costly" and "difficult", as well as "not the safest"

Its generally accepted that...PSN is free, Xbox Live is better. Even here...

Lol "nobody said it was risky they said it wouldn't be safest". You're digging.

Anyway I really don't care. Lol seriously I dont. It's amazing when you have all the consoles, you have access to all games and couldn't care less what console exclusive goes where.

That's generally accepted by people who choose to pay for XBL.

Like you generally accept that the Xbox 360 is like 2* or 3* better than the PS3? We have debated between us whether its 2 or 3* so much that I think its best we leave it at a compromise 2.5* level to make both of us happy.

Whoever wrote this long ass article needs to get laid. Pay for it if you need to.

Didn't the orange box come out on PS3? Isn't that valve? Whatever.

Seriously, if you neeeeeeeeeeed to play an FPS on the PS3, buy killzone 2, resistance 1/2, bioshock, COD 4, borderlands, or any of a hundred other games.

Sometimes games are exclusive, it happens.

Amen. Multi-platform development makes sense for Valve and I think they might be losing out on a good bit more money by not considering it (checking wikipedia, they have 190+ employees. I think they could do it and make more money). But honestly there is no shortage of FPS on the PS3. You're not gonna die if you can't play Left 4 Dead. Chances are if you can't play Left 4 Dead on your PC, your computer is pretty old and you're probably going to get a new desktop or laptop pretty soon. So just sit tight for awhile. Valve games are pretty reasonable when it comes to spec requirements. They aren't like Crytek nor do they release badly optimized console-to-PC ports that are oh so common this gen. And if it's true that even integrated crappy Intel graphics cards are good enough to play these games, you have no problems if you buy a entry-level laptop.

That... Made no sense. But ok.
