Why: well sure modern warfare is a great game and beat the crap out of every game in first week sales but by the time its december its hype will wear down as all modern warfare fans will buy it the first day cause the so-called core gamers pre-order their favourite games so yeah and no games other nintendo first party can have long legs....i mean like mario and zelda pwn all other games when u count lifetime....so by january nsmbwii will still be selling like its newly released at around 500k for the holidays while modern warfare's hype will have died down to about 100k per week.....so the final winner is:

NSMBWII

If every game on Wii was destined to sell well then Okami, No More Heroes, Dead Space Extraction ( which Reggie praises in this video surely to the chagrin of those that said it didn't sell because it sucks), the Metroids, and Wii Music would have 20 million sales by now.

lol. Anyway, as some people have been saying, MW2 will most likely beat out NSMBW on its opening, but in the long run, I too, believe that the former will outsell the latter.

Well I'm alittle shocked that so many people are talking about lifetime and worldwide sales. Reggies specifically says NPD data for January. So can NewSupMarioBros:Wii beat ModernWarFare2 (360) by January?

Now some people are argueing that Nintendo fans don't pre-order. Well I pre-ordered ModernWarFare2 and NewSuperMarioBros. But I know of at least 6 people who didn't pre-order their copies of ModernWarFare2. I think ModernWarFare2 on 360 will probubly ship about 4-5 million units by January, NewSupMarioBros:Wii will have a hard time beating that.

Of course even Reggie admits that ModernWarFare2 is going to be really close, so I think even he has his doubts. I like how he says he plays all the major content, some think he's full of himself but the guy plays 360 I wonder if Peter Molenyu (Spelt wrong) plays Wii or how about Sony's President?

I think he is mistaken. but atleast he didnt trash talk the competition. However i think the games will be closer in sales than the preorders would have us believe. IMHO
