NSMB Wii will still be selling well when CoD 7 and 8 are released.

Of course NSMBWii will outsell it. It doesn't make either game bad. Its just another trend of a Nintendo first party game outselling a highly popular HD game due to marketshare. If they want to claim a victory, they can turn around and say Madden bombed on Wii or Call of Duty can never come close on Wii.

Also, I think its more telling that Reggie stated 'For all of those core gamers who cry the blues of the lack of content, there's been a lot of great content. Open up your wallet and buy some.' I think the best part of the video was Reggie trying to focus on Third Parties, eventhough the interviewer kept trying to draw it back to the competition and Nintendo First Party games.

Erm....no. Modern Warfare 2, a mature game with a limited target demographic, has zero chance of outselling New Super Mario Bros on a single platform. Look at the preorders for NSMB compared to Modern Warfare 2, with the amount of marketing for the latter versus the former. In sales on a SINGLE platform, NSMBW will destroy MW2 in terms of sales. Hands down.

Easily. Real battle is MW2 across all platforms. Bet NSMBWii will beat that by end of 2010.

It depends how well NSMB will appeal, but it definitely looks like a holiday game, so we'll see. though in NA MWF2 should at least outsell it this year

I don't believe there is any way NSMBWii will beat Modern Warfare 2 on 360 in sales in the US, but it might worldide.

Here's one guy that will own NSMBW and has no intention of buying a dumbed down MW2.
