Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reflex sales?????

This one is hard. I saw the videos, surprisingly think it looks great, I wasn't on board at first but dang... Treyarch did a great job with the graphics. Two big problems are the fact that it's a 2 year old game essentially and there has been so much negativity surrounding it because of that.

Wow, expectations are so low for this. Modern Warfare is the highest selling FPS of all time and is the best in my opinion. Certianly, based on the quality alone, it would blow World at War's sales out of the water.

Just like based on quality alone, Valkyria Chronicles sold millions, right?

Word of mouth will carry this game. I think the interesting thing will be if the next COD game gets released next Christmas it will cut of MWiiflex's legs.

Other variables:

-COD4 is an award winning game.
-WAWii did good but not as good as COD4 in sales.
-2 year old port.
-Game looks really good.
-No advertising.
-WAWii was the 5th most played game online for Wii
-Wii only owners cant buy MW2 for the Wii

I predict lifetime sales of 1.5 mil. MWiiflex will ride on the coattails of MW2 during Christmas.
Let's also consider that RE4Wii was a 2 year old port of a critically acclaimed game. And that sold pretty well.

Personally I am looking forward to it.

While the game is two years old its not like Wii owners have ever played it and it features a better graphics engine than World at War, co-op, host migration and its COD 4 being a great game. I think it can dethrone COD World at War as the best selling FPS for the Wii.

PSWii

Preorders seem nonexistent, and there has been literally no media coverage on the title whatsoever.

However, odds are that retailers will place th copy of this right next to Modern Warfare 2, and then word will get out there is a Wii COD.

I say ~20k first week, 900,000 lifetime

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Hmm... I remember Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas got a major boost when Grand Theft Auto IV released. It piggybacked on the advertising for the sequel.

Could be Call Of Duty IV: Modern Warfare: Reflex will do the same.

I find it really odd that they release Call of Duty: World At War before Call of Duty IV: Modern Warfare though. It sort of messes up everything.

This is invisible text!

It'll sell about the same as CoD: WaW. It looks like a better game than Wii WaW, but I think the Wii has lost some shooter consumers over the years. In the end, it'll be a wash -- meaning that the sales will be decent, like Wii WaW, but no better or worse.

I actually suspect it might be more fun than CoD4 was on the 360 (MP, I mean).. but I just don't think the fanbase is there (on the Wii) to make it a landslide success.
