Why is Inifinty Ward ripping off PC gamers so badly?

We all know MW2 will sell very well, but we also know it won't sell as well as it could have on the PC after all this crap that's surfaced.

Deal-breakers for me: $60 price and P2P. The $60 really kills it me, since no royalties need to be paid to MS or Sony due to the PC being an open platform. $60 for PC? Like hell I'm paying that. I'm pirating it just to spite them for trying to charge me $10 more, and I rarely pirate shit.

 

I'm sick of companies thinking that they can overcharge just because their product is hyped beyond belief (looking at you too Capcom, take your DLC multiplayer and shove it where the sun don't shine). There's other stuff out there worth playing. Instead of playing MW2, I'll be spending my money on Shattered Horizon.

Wait, wait wait.....I have been out of the console shooter scene altogether for the most part. Is it common for console shooters to be P2P with teams in the single digits? Its hard to fathom seeing that I have been playing 32+player games for over a decade.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

That and the control scheme are why no self respecting person plays fps on consoles

it's where benefit pc version went gimped more, PSN Also benefit, just sony doens't get any money from them using the PSN. kinda like RE 5 got a bad AI, many people said it was so people were forced to play with others rather single player without online.

If it's on 360, it's P2P.

 

If it's on PS3... well, it's usually on a server, although P2P still exists.

Seriously? 9 vs 9? That is just sad. CoD4 had to have way under-performed comparatively or else IW just can't be bothered to treat PC customers with any respect.

PC shooters have been at least 16v16 for almost 15 years, this is particularly silly. I'm sure they may have 'balanced' everything for 9v9, but it still makes me wonder whether they even considered the PC community when making these decisions.

Between this and the IW.net stuff, I keep expecting them to be like "Just Kidding, what did you think, we were idiots?"

Sadly the game is out soon and nothing :(
