I think it makes perfect sense why Valve would side with the 360. And for the record Borderlands first week sales were terrible. That hardly encourages Valve to support the PS3.

It's the only console they have developed for this generation.....

You can't compare Valve's success with the 360...to nothing

Valve , hate em or love em, are a top 3 developer in any gamers head......the accomplishments they have made are nothing short of amazing and as such are definetely high up the totem of developers.

Naughty Dog isnt , they may be your favourite but they are far from the best as long as Valve , Blizzard , Bungie , Epic , Kojima Productions , Bioware , Nintendo etc. exist.

 

Let me give you an analogy , The Toronto Raptors are my favourite team but they are far from the best team in the NBA.

Valve has not excuse not to develop for PS3 anymore. And using "the PS3 is hard to develop for" hasn't been valid since like 2007. Infinity Ward proved you can make a game on PS3 just as good when Modern Warfare was identical to the 360 version.

And you also can't say its not worth the effort. There's nearly 26 million PS3 owners now and could be as many as 28-30 million by Jan 1. Its only 7 million behind the 360 and that gap is shrinking every week.

I don't see what's wrong with that comment, I'm sure many people would agree actually.

You gotta love the PS3 folks slagging off on Valve, but hey, these are the same guys who have no problem with Sony/Insomniac lovefest as well as Kojima (up until a few months ago), but hey, when one developer doesn't want to develop for the PS3, shame on those lazy bastards!

I've already explained the situation with second party studios. Kojima? Well, when he started MGS4, he was already in line with Sony because of the success of the PS2, and he expected the same with the PS3. Now, when the PS3 didn't come out and sell a billion units, he still developed MGS4 exclusively because, get this, HE KEPT HIS WORD! He said it was going to be exclusive, so he made it exclusive. Nothing wrong with that, right? He didn't bash the 360 at all. In fact, there are pics of him, before MGS4 released, with 360 dev kits in his office. So much for him being lazy.....

I don't have a problem with Valve, they can do whatever they want it's their games (Big Fan of Portal, own the orange box PS3 and Computer), they however broke an important rule, and that is "You Don't Shit Where You Eat". When you don't support your own game it shows how much you value those gamers.

In gamers head so it is opinion after all doesn't matter if 60 million ppl think they are the best cause it doesn't change the fact that it's just an opinion...I know 10 ppl who thinks water is better than cola and I'm the only 1 who think the other way does that mean water>cola is a fact?

They do support their own games.

The 360 versions are having issues because MS demands they charge for their updates... and as for PS3. 

It's for EA to support the PS3 version.  Not valve.

If the community wants support for PS3 Orange box, they should bug EA about it and tell them to contact Valve.
