Famitsu and Media Create don't count digital sales.

Thanks!

Impressive launch for Bayonetta
Good for Tekken
Horrendous for Sin & Punishment 2

ps3 is huge in japan when RE5 released it sold 40k
DS is donig well in a month when DSi XL releases it will sell like a monster again
psp Go bombed psp-3000 won so easily against Go
Wii is holding very well
360 is good (considering 360 hate in japan) but still i thought with bayonetta and tekken 6 it could sell 10k

I don't think PSP-Go bombed, not with it's launch price. It's a niche device and a bit of a trial if you ask me, and it's only going to show relatively small sales at first (maybe always if people don't go for its digital distribution mode). Although I didn't notice the two lines for PSP at first, add them together and given I understand the PSP HW has a high profit margin and Sony can't be too unhappy.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Damn, it seems as if nothing can save the 360 in Japan. I think once FF13 is launched it will be game over for Microsoft in Japan, and it's a crying shame, the 360 have some great games but this is just horrible.

Yeah but "luckily" for MS, the Japanese maket seems to have lost much of its importance this generation.

Amazing sales for Bayonetta and the PS3 version of Tekken.

Software on Nintendo platforms is horrendous: Sin & Punishment, Super Robot Taisen, Chinatown Wars: all huge bombs.

Are looking at the same DS software sales ?

Nintendo is clearly in trouble in Japan. None of the games that are being released even manage a slight boost and end up bombing.

When Uncharted 2 is able to clear 100k, but games like Super Robot Taisen or S&P2 bomb, then clearly there's no interest in the Wii at all. I wonder now what % of the Wii owners actually bought a Wii and still use it there. There's no way Super Robot Taisen bombed like that. It's impossible. Also, the lack of advertising for S&P2 and hype really killed it. Shoot em up's sell far more on the 360 with a userbase that's 8 times lower.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I meant the new releases this week. They all bombed, except for that Final Fantasy game, which did just ok.
