EVE - EXODUS

EVE takes place in a cluster of stars far from mankind’s original habitat, planet Earth. How far away, and whether or not that cradle of civilization still exists, is a mystery. Humans arrived through a natural wormhole and, gazing up upon an alien sky they had never seen, were completely unable to determine where this new world was located. From the New Eden solar system, where the gate of EVE once led to the old world, humans expanded in all directions at a furious pace, exploring and colonizing rapidly.

Then, unexpectedly and seemingly unprovoked, the EVE gate collapsed in an apocalyptic catastrophe of a scale never before witnessed by the human race, ruining the New Eden system in the process. Thousands of small colonies were left in complete isolation to fend for themselves, cut off from the old world. For millennia they endured, clinging to the brink of extinction, and only a handful managed to survive.

Of those that lasted, five were to rise up and become the major empires that, between them, hold the balance of power in the world of EVE. Today, they are known as the Amarr Empire, the Gallente Federation, the Caldari State, the Minmatar Republic, and the Jovian Empire. Additionally, the world is full of several small, independent factions and states.

For more than a century, the five empires have lived together in relative peace. They’ve continually strived to maintain this peace, as each faction realizes only too well the grave consequences of a massive inter-stellar war. Recent technological breakthroughs in FTL travel, and the ensuing increase in space travelers, have shaken, but not broken, the fragile peace... at least not yet.

  • Personal Introduction

I have two accounts in Eve: My oldest is "Kerrigan III", and my other is "Scrambles TheDeathDealer". I am involved in two different corporations with different styles of gameplay for each.

My main is a missioner "care bear", who goes out and hunts pirates in various missions. My backup character uses the things my main guy loots and uses it to create and invent new items that I can either sell or use on my main.

Currently, I make enough money, after only 2 months of playing, that I can pay for my subscription with in-game money.

I want to start a new account whereby I can train leadership skills and start my own corporation with members of VGChartz and other friends I have playing the game as well.

These are the reasons why I think you should play EVE online with me.

First, IT'S AN AMAZING GAME. It's one that doesn't require every minute of your time for your character to get better. Your character trains skills through a time/attribute based system. That means that your character is training every minute of the day, even if you don't play. Even if you have to go to school, or you have to work, or you have to spend the week in Maine/someother3rdworldstate, your character is still leveling.

But don't think that this is a casual game because of that. Although some people scoff at the fundamentals of the training and combat system, the world is incredibly unforgiving....unless you have a great corp of friends to help you out. As a member of our corp, we will supply you with starting ships and skill books and show/explain how everything works to you.

There are also many ways to play, which is why I love the game.

Currently, I play Uncharted 2 while my character delivers items from one place to another. My other character sits in an asteroid belt mining ore for production. At the same time, my manufacturing plant is processing and producing items and ships for sale. All the while I'm training and building levels and developing my relationships with in-game corporations in order to earn more and more money. All while I play Uncharted 2... I barely pay attention to EVE. (I also like to watch Battlestar Gallactica reruns and x-files while I play)

When I'm not at home, and I'm on my laptop, I run some PvP. I fly around in lower security space and kill anything I see. If I run into trouble, I have my other character and my corporation only a minute away.

While I'm doing that, my corporation is claiming space and constructing space stations, growing in power, giving us bonuses and wealth.

As for the combat, it's relatively simple. It's simple in that the interface requires a minimal amount of clicks and button presses. However, like any good rock paper scissors game, it's complex in that to be very successful, you need to understand what weapons and tactics counter others, and be prepared to switch it up depending on the circumstances.

Lastly, if you want to join me in EVE, that game that's been advertised all over this site, let me know. I can get you a free 21-day trial subscription with no pressure to purchase the game, and I'll still help you even if you decide not to continue playing. There is only a download between you and this terrific game. Watch the movie at the top of the page, and fly safe!

/o

Around the Network

Eve Online is far too hardcore for me to get into. Lots of stories that come out of the game make it sound amazing though.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">
