 Well that wasn't nearly as interesting as I had hoped (though it's true).  I won't even bother asking why it's called rule 34.

I think some sites and magazines set a ceiling for some game genres. Puzzles, adventures, JRPGs and other genres usually get 8.5 at highest. Lets just say the game is surprisingly good and call it a day.

 To tell you the truth I'm not horribly upset by the score.  Anything 8+ is a good game and the people that get turned away by something like an 8.4 wouldn't buy this game anyways.  I imagine there will be some advertising going on for this game but I think most of the sales are going to come from word of mouth and things like the IGN Zack & Wiki Awesome Watch Campaign.  This game could get as low as 7's and I don't really think it would affect sales too much.

 God I hope this game does well.  I want my point and click adventures back!

I don't care about review scores, but its an interesting review. So far my impressions have been very positive and if the game turns out to be as fun as it looks I will be doing some word of mouth advertising myself.

The score is within the "reasonably justified" range, which is more than I can say for most reviews (which is why you shouldn't pay attention to the scores at all).

Needless to say, if 1UP gives a Wii game a 9, you KNOW it's good.

 I guess all those kooks that say the world is coming to the end was right. I am going to grab my "End is Nigh" sign. This will be my last post.

 

 

 

Nah just joking but with that type of score from one up the game has to be sleeper hit of the year.
