Wow people still make this kind of threads. Ps3 won´t outsell 360 unless it stops selling the race is pretty much finished already.

If you go by 50 dollar price cuts, 360 only has 4 left but ps3 has 6 left. Of course a console will never be given away for free but my point is the ps3 has more room to the cut the price to temp buyers. The 360 is already pretty low.

The more features you put on an item, the higher the price, the more potential there is to increase the lifecycle via price cuts. It makes people feel that they are getting more for their money because it used to be a luxury item.

I think with that strategy, sony will outlast ms. I think it will be mid 2011. MS will have one last gasp, they'll cut the price but when that wears off, they are done. They are running out of room to cut the price.

Kowenichi made a good post about how long the PS3 needs to pass the 360 at at specific sales. You should look that up.

Whatever happens the 360 will always have the advantage in the all important US market.

It will never happen. The XBox360 has the luxury of being a far cheaper console to make, so they can definitely drop the price to record lows in order to get sold. Plus I think Natal will work out well for them next year, and take-off time will occur once they bundle it in.

It is not the fact that this thread exists it is the fact that it is being asked with the same certainty as every other thread generated asking this question from the first day the PS3 hit the shops. Every one of those threads predicted it would be next year and this thread is no exception.
