I don't see it happening world-wide.  The only way I see this possible is if BOTH Natal and Halo:Reach are absolute duds that fall flat in sales and media buzz.  And I don't see how that happens.

Doesn't really matter either way.  It's better for gaming to have multiple healthy competitive companies to spur innovation.  And they are all going to survive this very challenging cycle.

Final Fantasy 13 versus probably won't come out until mid-2011.  Or if never....

Regardless, PS3 will pass Xbox360 by Christmas 2010.

well before i would have said 2011 0r 2012 but after seeing what the ps3 has been doing recently, that combined with the lineup they have for 2010, then id say i if sony make the RIGHT MOVES then they can do it before 2011 begins! just look at the sales now guys.. say if the ps3 was cut to $199 near the end of 2010, now im not saying its gonna happen but it COULD, that what im trying to say. even if the ps3 stays the same price for the entire next year theres a good chance it can do it but if sony wanna go for the overkill then they know what they gotta do.

well microsoft also said the 360 would outsell the ps3 again after ps3 price cut but that didnt happen, they said the 360 is gonna outsell the ps3 this holiday, aint gonna happen, sony said there was no such thing as a ps3 slim nor would there be a price cut anytime soon well that didnt happen, as there was a slim AND a price cut at the same time! you see where im going with this?

If the gap will be 4 million by the end of this year, than ps3 will outsell x360 before Natal release. If the gap will be 5 million by the end of this year, than before the end of 2010.

I remember when the 2007 ps3 pricecut the "usual suspects" were talking big about a takedown in 2009, 2010 tops.

Guess what happened? Microsoft dropped the price.

As far as the HD twins is concerned, it's all about the 100$ that the consumers consider apropiate value for the ps3's aditional features.
