Obviously, Uncharted is a better game now. But I would have to say Resident Evil 4 was better in it's day. It took an already popular series to another level and it's even considered AAA in todays standards. It's one of the greatest games of all-time easily.

I also agree on RE:4. It changed a lot of things, many games adopt its third person shooting style. It's almost everything RE should have been from the start. But, like CGI mentioned, U2 is also becoming one of those game-changer series. It's mixing TPS, puzzles, platforming and action very well. Biggest bang for your buck on the PS3 right now.

I've been playing uncharted (the 1st one), and it's a good game. Nothing more imo. Although, i have to say i have played it like 2 hours. Still along waaay to go.. but FIFA and SotC are my main focus right now. SotC is great, not amazing (so far.... 4 colossi) like everyone said.

Although I've yet to play Uncharted 2, knowing from Uncharted 1, RE4 pretty much is the basis for that kind of game. So really I have to go with RE4 because when I played that game there was just nothing like that ever. Really one of the most influential games of this decade as it transformed the new genre of cinematic action games (just without the survival horror part now). Really amazing how big that game was for developing in the 7th generation.

RE4 was a game that was HUGE! Im talking HUGE! Uncharted 2 is just a good game.

I think a better comparison would have been Uncharted 1 to RE4. In that regard RE4 was the better game for it's time, but Uncharted 2 improved on so much, that it now beats Uncharted 1, and RE4, and destroyed RE4's replacement RE5

u really can't judge uncharted 2 by uncharted 1, except to expect a great story and incredible graphics...gameplay and action and many other things improved immensely...

It's Resident Evil 4, but that's no disrespect to Uncharted 2 which I cannot stop playing.

RE 4 re-created a dying franchise and evolved it into one of the greatest games of all time - possibly the best game of the decade. While I believe Uncharted 2 will win my GOTY and many others as well, and is one of the best games of the decade, RE4 is just a little better.

That said, UC2 is absolutely unreal. It's like picking between having 100 dollars or 99 dollars. You'll pick 100 dollars, but if you had to pick 99 dollars, you'd have 99 dollars, and be able to buy almost anything the guy with 100 dollars could.

Sorry for the stupid metaphor, but really, both games are genre defining and top 5 games of the decade - RE4 just did it first.
