I'd like to be able to "mark" a thread.
A "marked" thread would appear in my hot topics at the time I "marked" it.
Right now people are too lazy to use the bookmark feature on their browser so instead they resort to junk posts like this and this which clutter threads.  An in-forum option for those lazy people is the best solution.

Ha-ha.
This would be a great feature to have, especially for those that seem to post so much that they need to retrack threads like that.

So, are you guys envisioning sort of a "Sticky" feature for your My Recent Threads threads, or a separate feature, perhaps below the aforementioned?

Not a sticky feature, just the effect of posting in a thread without actually posting.  I'd want the "marked" thread to go down the Hot Topics list like posts do.

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Biggest pikmin fan on VGchartz I won from a voting poll
I am not a nerd. I am enthusiast.  EN-THU-SI-AST!
Do Not Click here or else I will call on the eye of shinning justice on you.

Maybe this is suppose to be like this I'm not sure, but on some game pages the Alternative Name section on the left will only display 2 out of the 3 alternative names. For example this game here, It displays the Japanese letters and Japanese english name but it wont display the PAL name which is different to the America and Japanese name.

Thats just the fault of the PS Browser it doesn't handle flash very well and VG Chartz has a lot of flash. I know some websites with a lot of flash will make the browser crash on the PS3.

In order to make the PS3 browser work better you'd have to remove like 50% of the front page.

A VGC Lite could be made, with fewer Flash graphics. Could be used on phones, Blackberries, consoles, etc.

On another topic, the whole "Game Forum" thing isn't working too well, is it? You can post in the regular forum and have hundreds of people see your thread, or you can post in the game's specific forum and have maybe one bored person looking through game forums, and that's for a BIG game. If you want to discuss, say, Red Dead Redemption, and you post it in the RDR forum, nobody will see your thread. And nobody will look through the Game Specific Board to find it.

I think you misunderstood my idea for the game specific boards. I meant a board ONLY for game official threads. No regular game threads, they can be in the normal forum. Definitely no 2600 and 5200 and Magnavox Oddysey games- rather than making finding official threads easier, that made it harder.

For example:

http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=95040

A month old.

A question about the site's data.

And nobody has seen his thread, nobody will look for it, nobody would ever look at it, unless I posted it here.

I keep getting redirected to Google, yellowpages, linksusa, and other random web pages.

Using firefox and fully scanned on spyware / viruses.

so I am confused as only vgchartz is doing it.

Me too. And I've switched to a public computer and its the same thing.

In the database, is it possible to link series of games together? As I'm looking for how well a game does, comparing it to its predessecors is a pretty good comparison. So if you're looking at a Ratchet & Clank game, you have direct links for all the other games as well, somewhere on its page.
