I dont think it is the PS3's problem. It is the game itself. You have to do certain things in the game to "trigger" the froze.

Its really minor, most people will need the break before the last boss after all, lol.

Ah, I thought this was related to the overheating some people were getting. This sounds more like what Fallout 3 was full of when it came out :P

Or need the break during the final boss. geesh, i am NOT looking forward to that on crushing. however it did take me less time on hard than normal.

On my treasure run, second playthrough it froze on chapter 25 when i got the treasure in that room. Must be a common bug, at least those threads about bricking PS3's were clearly over exxagerated, but still i hope they fix it because theres really no excuse for it.

I got uc2 yesterday and finished first 6 chapters without any problems on my slim.

@steverhcp02 - Yeah I was worried about the final boss on Crushing too, but I did it first time. I was so surprised. Don't worry, you'll be able to take him out. Just stay on the move when fighting him.

I think that freeze has happened to most people, and you simply end up in the next room

Common bug. Don't worry, when you load, you're in the next room. You haven't missed anything. But there's plenty of reason to play it again.

I've played through it 3 times and it froze 2 times... and yes it was in the room with the guardians. The last time was after I shot down the treasure in the room and picked it up. A little annoying maybe but it's still a fantastic game.
