Forums - Microsoft Discussion - The Perfect Game Plan for X360 in 2010 (Could Happen)

I think I have found the Perfect vision/gamplan for X360 in 2010 based on the resources at their disposal.

Jan = Mass Effect 2 (perfect way to start the New Year with the best WRPG IMO)

Feb = Splinter Cell Conviction (The delay might be of benefit for Microsoft as it give them a certified AAA franchise in Feb)

Mar = Unleash Alan Wake (A great way to counter God of War 3)

April/May = Unload Crackdown 2 (The perfect Late Spring/Early Summer Blockbuster ala inFamous/prototype, with great 4 player co-op)

Jun = Release Natal with A killer lineup of games (Demostrate Natal and the games at E3, then announce it will be launch in JUN with a lineup of games)

July = The first Natal Killer App (Not AAA, but a console seller (a casual game ie. Wii Fit or Wii Sports to attract the soccer moms and wii crowd))

Aug = The Annual Madden 2011 Launch but with Natal Control that set it apart from the competitor.

Sep/Oct = New slim redesigned X360 package with Natal is release with price cut all across the board.

I see 2 Skus availble: Elite/Natal with 250-500g HDD for $350; X360/Natal combo with built in Flash drive for $250

Sep = Halo Reach arrives (Biggest Marketing for a videogame in history) / Guitar Hero 6 with Natal Support

Oct = Set loose Fable 3 (Games will be coming closer to Peter M. vision) / Fifa 2011 with Natal Control

Nov = Gears of War 3 (This is the wild card. If this game is release, then the rumored resistance 3 and/or KZ3 2010 release for PS3 will be forgotten)

Dec = welcoming Milo and Kate (This could be the next big thing if all that was demoed at E3 is even 1/2 possible).

So, there you have it, my 2010 dream lineup for X360. Don't laugh but this could happen. If it does, then Microsoft is in a pretty good position to dominate (well in the West anyways as Japan is a lost cause) in 2010.

This would be massive but Natal isn't being released until Fall 2010. The only thing I see being a system seller is Halo: Reach/Natal. SC:C might move a few units but nothing great or consistant, same goes for ME2 and Alan Wake. Crackdown, fable and gears probably won't really move anything unless Natal is major success and these games incorporate it for the hardcore gamers and we all know that's not going to happen. I can't see Madden Natal or Fifa Natal selling well at all if it happened but I guess it depends on the quality of it. Guitar Hero...are you serious? Kay honestly how would you incorporate GH into Natal? Just pretend to hold a guitar? You'd look like an idiot lol.

Wait - guitar hero with natal? Strutting without anything in your hands? No hardware sales for the game producer? Naa won't happen.

First of All, do you know why sports game never really sell or play that well on the WII? that is because most sports requires body, arms and leg movement. For Fifa, imagine having the opportunity to move with your virtua avatar and simulate real life..I know it will never be the same thing but it will be the closest thing to virtua reality for a sport like Soccer/futball.

Oh music games like Guitar Hero and Rock band, the Plastic instument will still be use but you get extra star power with your avatar by doing head banging and move like a real rockstar by jumping up and down and stuff like that.

Who say you cannot combine other control with the Natal camera sensor.

What if your on screen avatar followed your body motions while you held the real fake guitar?

Natal can be a system seller depending on

a. Price
b. bundled sports/party/demo game

Everything else SONY and Ninty can counter. Natal is unique to the 360. They need to sell her out....

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

2010 is shaping up to be a really strong year for the 360, ill respective of what happens on the other console...I think, without a doubt, Natal is going to be the 4-5 line-upbatter...there is SO much hype around it, at this point, that if it delivers, it's going to be Huge, but they bring another tech demo to E3...it's going to be the titanic, and I am not talking about the movie. At E3, M$ needs to not only have a cool launch app, but they need to have some exclusive apps that really stand this thing apart from what others will have to offer. Over the last 2 years, M$ has spent ALOT of money on R&D, and I've been point it out...now it's time for that money to deliver.

There's other stuff, like Mech Warrior and "secret Rare project" waiting in the wings as well.

It will be like the THE DEMO Richochet where your avatar is semi transparent and showing back to front.

Dude if Microsoft does that it will be a massive year , not counting with Projects yet not announced and the big Summer of Arcades...

Halo Reach and Gears of War 3 = Holly Shi*.

There is a lot of agreement coming from me with a few minor issues.

You seem to have the Xbox 360's entry price INCREASING which I do not think will happen. I do think it could remain the same late next year WITH a Natal inclusion.

You're forgetting Mechwarrior 5 which will likely (please God I beg you?) hit next year sometime.

Finally, releasing Gears 3 and Halo: Recon in the same holiday period along with what will no doubt be another Call of Duty (of pretty damn good quality), would be folly.
