arrrrgh......seriously how many 6's did it get already?? I lost count after 2 or 3, I knew there is 3 somewhere.... never thought this is a love/hate game.

Wow. To think Slimebeast was grumbling when people gave Halo 3 7 or 8 and saying it shouldn't be counted!

Some strange views here TBH, and while I'd normally accept that's the way it goes, Kylie's 3, given it is known how much he hates LBP, Media Molecule, argued they unfairly moderated levels due to content, etc. basically hoped the game failed miserably at retail, etc. it seems like a deliberate lowball to me.

Technically, there is no way this game is that low. It's like saying Citizen Kane is crap because you don't like serious films - you're confusing your own preferences with factual achievement. To me, to rate a game anything less than 7 it has to have actual technical flaws or issues, whether the genre appeals or not. I'd never mark down an jRPG, for example, because I don't like turn based combat, because that's taste, nothing technical about the title.

'Gotta say, too, it fascinates me that such a title, vs say Halo 3, or MGS4, should seem to attract the most irritation in some people. Who'd have figured?

This is only one of a few games this generation that can suck me back in after months of not playing.

The next time it sucks me in BIG TIME will be when the water patch releases. It will be like i'm getting a new game.

I played this with my neighbour who has a PS3. I read so much about this and I was excited to play this. This was the biggest disappointment this gen.

I do not know why people say this is sooo innovative. This is a (not so good - nothing against classics like Mario on SNES or Sonic on Genesis) platformer with a map-editor. I created maps on PC in 1997. I played this for about an hour, so this is not enough to give a decent review and this score should not count, but I give it a

its not a dissapointment,  like my post said, you need to play it for a while in order to start enjoying it, since we are HARDCORE gamers, its hard for us to enjoy something so simple.. seriously I just played a couple of halloween levels an hour ago, and they were jaw dropping experiences..

Only gripe against the was that for a while the z-axis control was a bit annoying, and jumping had like a milisecond delay that made me die. Other than that, this game rocks!

- Too many tutorials
- Level creation too limited (even with the paint gun and other add ons)
- Music/SFX not great
- Awkward/Obscure UI

Pro's:

Play, create, share says it all really but other than that there's also great music, playing with 4 sack people is hilarious, some amazing online levels

Cons: Too much lag online (for the 1st year anyway), online levels could be better organised with better search options, single player campaign is only average
