games haven't show quite feat since gears 2 on while.
this year guerrilla, naughtly dog and imsomniac look like got the top dogs in graphics.
360 as exclusives have left 4 dead 2 (looks better on PC), and forza 3 (i find shift and GT5 still better looking ).

even demons soul's, a low budget game looks better than any exclusive rpg on the 360, so i guess that's a yes.
I think so. I've seen the best 360 has to offer in terms of graphics and MGS4 alone looks better than all of them.
The people saying that uncharted 1 beats everything on 360 are mistaken.But after playing Uncharted 2 it cant be beat,They detailed everything so well i'd give examples but spoilers are no fun.Metal gear solid 4 would now be second on my list after holding first place for so long.And yes theres killzone 2 which looked amazing but i hated the game sorry.

By dominates, i mean has Metal Gear Solid 4, KZ2, Uncharted and Uncharted 2... And the upcoming God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, The Last Guardian and Heavy Rain.
When it comes to graphical exclusives this gen, PS3 is dominating.
comparing Gears 2 and Uncharted 2 is a bit difficult. they're 2 separate beasts. Gears environments are often destroyed cities or underground structures. Uncharted is more jungle/ancient design with some city scape.
I think both games are beautiful to look at but what you're looking at is different between the games. if they shared more common environments, I think the arguments would be easier to make for one game over another.

Not because it's the best looking game this gen, but because it was the first HD game I played on my 42" plasma. Everything else this gen that I've played (this includes: MGS4, Uncharted, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Mass Effect, Batman: AA) have just been slight variations on the quality of that. I would say Uncharted does have some of the best animations I have ever seen, but so does Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on the DS. I can say that Killzone 2 has the shiniest grays, blacks and. . . grays I have ever seen (followed closely by Gears, If I'm being honest). I'm sure some people can easily see the anti-aliasing, punch-cut-fade-draw gobble-dee-gook that makes the PS3 excluvies ZOMG betterz than all the rest, but for the rest of us regular people, the 360 and the PS3 are the same. |
I disagree greatly.. might be the experience, but the graphics are very average..
@the gears vs uncharted comparison
Dont compare them, GEARS isn't a good looking game to begin with if your talking about graphics, it has a nice art style, but the graphics arent impressive.
