there isn't an automatic installation? Well, shit I need to find out how to install it then. I just thought it did it automatically at some point, or perhaps while playing like Fallout 3 does.

I think it does install a few resourses but not the full game. It's 25 gigs, that would be a hell of an install.

Well yeah, obviously. I don't expect it to install the whole game. So it does automatically install though?

I think it reserves cache space on HDD to aid in streaming in the background to HDD then to game in addition to streaming directly from BR.  The engine in Uncharted had no real install, just some on the go use of HDD that was transparent from your point of view.  So far as I know Uncharted 2 is the same.

I'll have a peak next time I boot it up - which will hopefully be in a couple of hours!

Yeah thats most likely the reason.

Hmmm.....it's possible. I'm almost positive that Fable 2 killed my 360 (seriously). I never play Uncharted 2 for more than an hour or two, though.

Same here, stupid fable.

Anyhow, glad I haven't tried Uncharted 2 on my PS3 yet.

Yeah, must be a software problem. Mine locked up in the exact same place just now. I got to chapter 25, got in a fight in a big round room and started thinking "hey, I think this is the room they were talking about. I wonder if it will lock up." and sure enough I won the fight, went to the next hallway and it froze. I expect a patch hopefully soon. I guess it's not consistently every time, I mean lots of people have beat the game. Hopefully the last checkpoint wasn't too far behind where I was. I'll try again later. But first I will go watch "The Man From Earth", heard it was a good movie.

That's exactly where my game froze yesterday--set your theme to the one without all the glittery stuff and then try again--that worked for me and I was able to finish the game with no problems.  I had to do the same thing with the first Uncharted.
