Forums - General Discussion - This is funny. Police in my country suck a**

This clarifies news in my country of England in the UK. Police will happily take 15 mins to arrive to a disturbance in your home, or tell you there is nothing they can do. Peadohiles end up working in nurseries with no proper vetting. Yet they go all out to catch these guys. Yes the kids at the bus stop got wet, and yes it is pretty immature. But somehow hilarious. Is it really worth my taxes for you to bring them to justice?

This is actually the city of Plymouth where I live. And no it wasn't me. ;)

Our Polish police was too busy to find 2 meter long metal pipe that thieves (or as i was told they were vandals becouse nothing was stolen) used to break into my flat - it was dark so they didn't bother taking their flashlights out to look for any evidence.

So you could easily say that police sux everywhere.

I keep hearing all these horror stories concerning the police, but personally I've had nothing but good dealings with them. On one incident I reported, three police cars arrived in under five minutes and the officers were all very polite and efficient. I'm not saying that any of the stories discrediting the police are false, but the media have a tendency to over-exaggerate the matter and make it out to be that the policing as a whole in the country is terrible, where in reality they are really isolated incidents of misconduct and the officers in question are later reprimanded accordingly.

Its good to exaggerate things like policing. Much better the police have to keep on their toes and realise their can be repercussions for negligence then to have a public that allows police to get away with everything.

BTW that video is awesome. Toughen up kids!

Since this thread makes more sense with context, the guy is being prosecuted for inconsiderate driving.

And for lulz, this was at the bottom:
In 2005 a Somerset motorist who soaked a workman after driving through a puddle admitted a charge of driving without due consideration and was fined £150 and given three penalty points by magistrates in Yeovil.

In England, you get PENALTY POINTS for committing crimes?

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

You get demerits for traffic offenses in a lot of countries and in some US states, too.

I spent 2 years in a relationship with a policeman, he would rather use his handcuffs on me than a criminal, so I totally agree with you.

Bit of a dominating relationship, eh?
