Forums - General Discussion - FPS motion sickness cures...

I've been muscling thru this problem for a while now, but trying to play Dead Space Extraction I just give up. Is there any suggestions out there to combat FPS motion sickness other then just giving up playing these types of games?

I would suggest playing in shorter bursts. Quite often it can be because of a long length time played, try playing in 30min bursts.

Obviously this isn't a cure but its worth a shot.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that now. It just sucks cause I got a few FPS games that have gone unfinished cause I get sick playin them. =/

sit farther from the TV, dont squint/strain your eyes.

Wear glasses or contacts if you have, and dont get "to in" to the game.

Play in a lighted room, not in the dark.

Maybe open a window to get fresh air?

toughen up

Nah. Just stop playing when you feel sick for like half an hour. Have a walk outside or something and then come back in for another round!

is this a problem you have with all first person shooters?

I would notice this in some games but it never really bothered me that much, I would just kind of lean back and tilt my head lol. You get used to it the more you play, or at least I did.

Doom is the only game that done this to me, other then Doom I've never had it before. I think the problem with me is that I was looking at the screen to closely.

Yeah it is unfortunately. Be it PC, XB360, Wii, or PS3.

...Thanks for the feedback peeps, I'll look into some of the suggestions, and I'll try and toughen up like Farmland said!!! lol
