wow @ some of these comments seems like some people obviously never/dont know how to play the game and it's "unbalanced" because of it :P

Either way this is my first time roaming into one of these threads so I'll vote.

SSBB is probably the best game in the Smash Bros series to me and is the game I've put the most time into this gen. Online didn't seem as broken for me I really do understand the complaints, however I could join random matches and not have an issue with lag, and the only time I had lag issues was playing people from other countries from here on VGC but in turn I've also played people at the exact opposite end of the country and had no issues.

The gameplay is fun, the community is awesome, and the game improved on the previous title in every way.

Super Smash Bros Brawl would get a 9.5 from me couldn't hardly ask for more.

+ can draw people who don't normally play video games due to its simplistic design
- fun fighter game just not as deep of a technical fighter I really get drawn into
- can't really think of anything else bad. It serves its purpose as a very good game.

This is the game I have spent the most time on, on my Wii, 155+ hours and counting!! Not a perfect game by any means, The online sucked because of lag, and some of the extra modes were way to hard for me to go through if you put it on hard, but im sure that some people loved how hard it was trying to beat the 10 bosses on hard with only 3 lifes with every charactor, I found it to be a sucky experience. However I loved the gameplay, Im not a fighting game fan and while this does not fit the mold perfectly, it was more fun then I was expecting, so much that when I bought Mario Kart I played it once and went back to this. SSE was a nice 10 hour mode that had a story that a kid could have came up with, I wish they would have pushed the story a little bit more but oh well. I have all but 7 or 8 of the trophys, my goal was to get them all but some modes were more then I could handle. I know I put alot of the negitives in this review put I love this game more then most of the games I have played the past few years.

Oh Brawl was definitely a very good game. Great cast of characters, fantastic gameplay as always, and actual decent storyline that was fun to play through, loads upon loads upon loads of replay value, some of the best music in any game in history (because it combines the best haha), and of course one of the best party games around.

So are their flaws to Brawl. Well of course there are. Some of the balance was a little off (although much more balanced than the first 2) but still pretty good in fighting retrospect, a little easier to master than say Melee, terrible terrible online that I still have yet to play a match in because of physically being able to get in, and yet still would have liked a larger roster.

But for all that Brawl was, it was an Amazing game. One of the best character lineups ever with some great additions to in fighting and events to really keep the fun going.

Thus I'll give it a very very strong 9.2/10.

The pros definitely outweigh the cons with the main con simply being the failure of online play. Potentially could have been a perfect game for me had the online worked.

That game gave me and my kids hours and hours of fun, and will continue to do so in future years... not many games have such a great replay value, and such a high fun factor... and it's the best in the serie, for me at least...

But... online sucks: a real missed opportunity for such a game, perfect for online competition, leaderboards and achievements... so it's still not the perfect 10... maybe the next one, on the next Nintendo home console...

Very fun, though I didn't love it as much as Melee for some reason.
A nice amount of characters.
Lots of stuff to do.
Level editor.
Online, umm, I don't care about online...

next we should rate secret of mana for the snes.

Oooh Secret of Mana! Love that game. Sqaure is being greedy, they should release it on VC. :)
