It only pops up every time Wii Fit sales are mentioned. I actually feel kinda sorry for hanafuda at this point.

But then he goes and says more pessimistic things about other Wii games and I stop feeling sorry for him.

It's funny cause he keeps digging the whole deeper the longer the thread goes on.

I think JJSeth beats him in the end for "Foot in mouth" though... which is sad considering he seemed to have started after we already knew 1st week sales.

"If you feel confident about your 15 million sales prediction, lets make it interesting.   I'll give you 3 years for Wii Fit to hit that number, but if they don't, you owe me $100.   If they do hit 15 million or more within 3 years, I'll buy you a PS3 or 360."

I'm really surprised Wiifit still sells so well. The majority of the people I know who bought it really don't use it. I've actually be using their Wiifit board as a mini lap table.

Stuff like Wii sports and such I can understand because probably almost anyone can find those games fun... especially with friends.

I'm just missing what people see in Wiifit and then why they choose not to really use it after it is bought. I guess maybe in cities when you really don't want to leave your house to excersize it could be useful, but being in a highly rural area I wouldn't know.

Actually there's nothing suprising in it.

People are buying their Wii Fits becouse they think it will miraculusly make them fit without regularly excersing or they are lying to themself that Wii Fit will force them to excercise regularly.

And after it's bought they realize it would require as much hard work as other methods and wii fits share the fate of other training equipment in most houses.

Holy crap! If I were FreeTalk I'd be tracking him down to claim my brand new PS3 Slim!

I don't think it's word of mouth that's making it sell. (I also know a few people that don't use there's at all.) I'd say it's the basic concept mixed with excellent advertising.

I would call it a game.  I am a "serious gamer".

Wii fit still hasn't reached my "Wii fit will outsell GTA4 combined TIMESD by 2" prediction :(
