The single player campaing won't work with more than 1 player, great devs now see this and they are starting to seperate their co-op from single player all together, all while making co-op its own unique experience filled with its own side story and gameplay freatures, but as always you can't please everybody. Epic, Insomniac, Bungie, IW, and now ND are all doing the same thing.

People need to start reading info on games before they buy them. This was known for a long time. However, it doesn't take away from the experience of the game.

I wouldn't say that... I would say people need to stop buying games with the assumption that things they want will be in the game and then be disappointed after it doesn't have it. I don't really read info on a game before I buy it unless I'm looking for something in particular. I had to read somethings about Demon's Souls before buying. Wanted to make sure it was a game i'd enjoy.

Unfortunate but well they could have added it.
Co-op scenarios are boring IMO.

Resistance FOM and Resistance 2 are perfect examples of how to do it right and wrong.

^wtf are you talking about. All we need for a game is all of these:

- Co-op
- Multiplayer
- Perks
- Unlockables
- DLC
- At least 20 weapons
- great soundtrack
- Ability to play my own music as the soundtrack
- 12 multiplayer maps
- At least a 10 hour campaign
- 6 different difficulty levels
- chainsaws
- aliens
- Bright visuals and effects
- 720p graphics
- cool cars, and driving in multiplayer
- achievements/trophies
- cake
- completely original idea (unless it is a sequel)
- cool guns
- silent hero
- talkative hero

You had a good point until this part, cause that is one game that does co-op perfectly.  And for a shooter its single player is far better than most games.


I wouldhave preferred epic to work on the single player experience.

 

And do what exactly?  It was a great single player game,  what would you have them add/expand?

I really hope that was a joke.... I would have loved them to work on the normal things that make single player campaigns great. There was no plot/story or background. No character development or background... The length sucked. It was a very mediocre single player campaign and it could have been a lot better. Who is Marcus? Why was he in the jail? What are the locust?

Not a joke.   You need to play the second game.   Marcus Fenix backstory and reasons for being in Prison were explained in the first game.  And nobody knows what the Locust are or where they come from, but things start to be revealed in the 2nd game. 


My point is about the first one... or else I would have said Gears of War 2 in my post. Why should I be forced to play a sequel to get something that should have been explained in the original? I don't have a 360 but if I did I wouldn't buy (Maybe rent or barrow from a friend) Gears of War 2 just because the first ones single player sucked. Just because no one knows what the locust are doesn't mean they couldn't be explained better in the first one.

Because for games planned as a series, they always leave alot of the story elements for the sequels.  Cause if they told you everything you needed to know in the first game, the sequels would have zero story elements.  But that would be ok cause then you could complain about those as well right?   I guess it doesnt matter since you dont own a 360.

BTW,  do you like the game Resistance FoM?
