i think video games today are very fun

I think your right and there are a lot of fun great games out there. But there is also a lot of garbage. I don't know what he plans to do towards fixing this though because its been the same pretty much every generation. Even in the NES days when Nintendo had strict policies and control over developers.

He's an idiot.

Man he has a VERY good point. I've been questioning how good games are these days. It seems games have become a popularity contest instead of who can make the best game. There still good games out there but how many of them do you truly believe will be classics in the future?

I guess my point is there is too much of the same and everybody is playing it too safe. Developers need to take more chances.

I think Nolan Bushnell is trash, thats what I think. He has no say whatsoever. Is he a game developer? Yes! What company? The trashing Atari thats soon to go bankrupt.

No video game I have played has been trash.

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

Wow. You sure are lucky zackblue. What i wouldnt give to get some hours of my life back spent on shitty games. I've made the concious choice to play most of them though so it is my fault.

The guy has to be given credit for what he did at the start of the industry but it's pretty insulting and clueless, in my opinion anyways, what he has said. Hasn't he heard of party and online social games?

First off, you should have a little bit of respect for one of the men that paved the way for videogames. He called products trash, which may or may not be the right thing to do, but you're calling a human being trash. I don't recall reading any stories of him strangling children or killing animals for kicks. Secondly, he has nothing to do with Atari today. Atari has nothing to do with Atari today either. The rights to the name "Atari" was bought and slapped on an already existing company. I wouldn't agree with his statement as pertaining to all games, but he probably meant it in a more general way, which I would tend to agree with.

"I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself."

Old games had just as high a percentage of feces as modern day games, it's the same in all industries.
That said, however, I do feel a bit more disappointed in most games than I did before, but that's probably a shift in my preference and not a deteriorating game biz.
