Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What I don't get about Natal support in the next Gears.

Maybe Gears 3 will ship with a Styrofoam Chest-High-Wall, that you can use to take cover? :D

And Leisure Suit Larry will ship with a strap-on.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

Things you could do with Natal in Gears:
-sneak around a corner (head-tracking)
-ask for help
-dogfight

Well head tracking is what i assumed it would be used for but who knows.

"The intent of Natal was to get rid of the controller"

I don't thing any video game company believes that. There is a huge potential for games without controllers and that's what Natal is intended for.

There will be a few hardcore games like racing sims for example which will allow players to use Natal instead of a pad, but that's about it. Natal for hardcore gaming will never get
further than being an option.

Agreed.  That's why I personally see more value in the Sony motion control.  Best of both worlds.  Combine Wii-mote functionality with the PS Eye.

What could you do with the Sony Wiimo Motion Controller that you couldn't do with Natal?

I think we'll find a lot of Natal/Controller combo games.

Maybe it's gonna be used for flipping people off in multiplayer.

We will just have to wait.

Nothing, basically.  Sure you can do some basic button controls like the Wii-mote, but you're still limited to not being able to move your character unless you want to hold a dualshock with just your left hand (not even possible for some people and very uncomfortable for most others).

You guys really need to take a step back. Microsoft has stated that this is going to be a killer app. Do you really think that this will lack the ability to walk in a game?

little things like "facial integration" or "custom animations" probably.

Meaning you can put your face in the game, and decide how you want your characters to look while be reloads and stuff.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need...
