Forums - Microsoft Discussion - M$ packing Natal with ALL new consoles?

I don't see how 360 + natal retails for less than $399. As someone else pointed out, for MS to only sell core units with natal packed in would kill their sales. As a standalone, I don't see natal retailing for much less than $199.

smart move on m$ too include it with all systems, when it launches.

Just so I get this straight...M$ is going to INCREASE the cost of the 360 and believe that consumers will be willing buy this 5 year old console for a hands free controller! That's like saying Nintendo could have sold just as many consoles as they have now, if they had picked $399 for the Wii.

You know what I like about this thread? People keep talking such crazy price numbers for Natal (even though there has been analysts that have pegged the technology as not near as expensive as people think) and that's actually great.

Why?

Because when it launches and its less expensive than people think, then that's going to be good PR. So keep up the high price speculation. Especially the ones that put the PS 'Sphere' + PSEye at the cost of a Wiimote . . .

I think natal won't be ready for 360, it would come for the next gen console of MS, I see it probable. They must be hyping it, so everyone buys as many 360s hoping that natal will be released and in E3 2010 they announce that there's a new xbox coming with the natal and they will stop prodicing the 360. :P

One of these days fanboys will learn, Microsoft still wants to WIN this thing. They probably won't, but man they sure are entertaining trying.

It could still cost as much as a new console, and still be packed in with the system, it would just mean that the system value was reduced, a lot of people already have a 360, so for them it could cost 150+, but the bundle could cost 300, jsut get rid of the elite, use the arcade and force people to buy the HD seperately

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Even IF it cost 150 the Arcade will be using GPU on CPU by next fall making a 250-300 dollar Natal system completely within range.

Some people are forgetting the Xbox 360 will be 5 years old next year... It'll still be more expensive than the Xbox 1 was at that time, interesting thought huh?
