Natal is amazing technology and absolutely awesome. However it is VERY shitty for video games.

You've used it? If not, a little premature don't ya think...?

I don't have to. No buttons = fail. Also the whole "imagine a wheel" shit fails miserably in Mair Kart, at least you GET some kind oof wheel there. I can onnly imagine this being just as bad when it comes to guns or magic or even someting as simple as walking/running around. Awesome tech, shitty gaming use.

lol, how will you want your crow? Broasted, or fried?

Please explain how I will move aroud in a world infinitely bigger than my living room using just motion controls. Then let's have some fun, make it so while running around you also must shoot, or do something magical, or say like... use a vehicle. Please explain, I'd love to hear it. This will be far more impactful on the PC than it will be for gaming.

As awesome and cool the iPhone is, it sure as hell wont be spitting out any toast or juicing any oranges any time soon.

I agree with vlad here.. Natal is useless for traditional titles without buttons. It's also a little bit hard to imagine playing a game with no feedback whether it be force feedback or pressing a button and feeling the press.

I mean look at how much trouble developers have with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk because 'it doesn't have enough buttons' - quote from numerous devs.

That was a huge problem with Metroid Prime 3 I remember. The solution to it also annoys the fuck out of me. Imagine trying to switch weapons using natal... what do you do? Scratch your back so it looks like you pull it from back there? Please....

It's a nifty little thing called scaling. instead of using the space of a football field, you can use a portion of your living room, just enter the width and lenth and it will scale down the playing area. Also, No buttons opens up the realm of possibilities, indtead of pushing a button one could say a command or perform a simple predefined gesture... Once again, do you honestly think MS hasn't thought of this?

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

^So every home will be like a Kids anime show with people yelling out their attacks and moves?

So I move a milimeter and I'm on the otherside of the map? Also I'll be yelling "SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT DUCK" and hope my hair turns long and blonde in the mean time? And yes, I honestly don't think MS has thought of this. It sounds to me like they made an amazing inerface design for windows and just tried to tack it on the Xbox.

But please, go on ahead and use your voice commands and stuff, that should make using a mousse and a keyboard for shooters infinitely faster and more professional then.

Ah yes, the old "oops, I didn't see you said the word 'could' in there." And the only reason you would be out of the map if you move a MM would be because you set your playing area to a rediculously small space.

You don't get it.... Scaling WILL not work. In the game the maps ar several hundred steps in one direction, your living room is probably less than 10. You ake half a step and you are 1/5th of the map away.... that is all messed up.

As I said, as innovative and cool the iPhone is, it won't be cooking my breakfast any time soon, hell I can't even use it as a spatula.

so it scales the batlefield eh? lets say the battle is 1000 feet ahead of me. My living room is 10 feet from my TV to the back wall. So lets say I'm all the way against the back wall (alread sounds restrictive) I take 5 paces and I alread ran 1000 feet in the game. wow. my character sure runs really fast. I mean... 1 pace = 200 feet... So with 1 pace i skip... 200 feet... so within that 1 pace... there was no enemy within 200 feet of me... 1000 feet isnt far either. Less than a fifth of a mile. Its a reasonable distance. And 10 feet is assuming nothing (like a couch) is in my way.

'Anyway, after 5 paces I am now on top of my tv and I cant see the screen and natal cant pick up my movements anymore.

The success of Natal will also be connected to his price: a 100$ addon would hardly be successful, even with a 350$ bundle...

Plus there are all the problems than many people pointed out (movement, no buttons...).

MS should have waited for next gen for Natal's tech IMO.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)
