Na its just that i have been so iganront to the Wii upto know that i have missed all the forum chatter about whats supposed to be good games. I tryed listing games i wanted for the Wii a few months back because i was thinking of getting one before Zelda comes.

I managed to list about 8 games that have been released and what would be released. But the list is very scewed as i dont know what to look for on the Wii. I dont want lots of party games but thats what people make you think. Just go into PS3 and 360 and gaming threads and it makes the Wii look really poor.

I love mario games, Never really got into the metriod. I love Zelda. Star fox.

The reason i aint really into the ds is the same as the Wii. If i could get a DS for like 40 then i would be all over it.

If you're being serious, which I doubt you are, look at the list of wii games coming in 2009/2010 we have on the Nintendo forum for upcoming games and the "Wii Recommendation Guide" for already released games.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

The fat and kids comment wasn't really called for, by the way.

Well i dont own a DS nor do i own a Wii. I did own a DS light for like 20 mins but i taken it back to cash converters before i even played a game on it. I played brain training on my nieces DS light before though.

OK the thing is i dont really like nintendo's direction. It just doesnt have true games on the systems. Yes the DS has a few RPG's and a mario game but what else?

The wii just seems really overpriced for what it has or does. I almost brought one last spring for 120 pounds but i couldnt bring myself to do it. Yh it has like Mario galaxy. mario and sonic at the olympic games. And thats about it for. Am i missing something. What games do you get to satisfy you "true" gaming needs?

Why do you go for nintendo. What do they really have that keeps you comming back. is all your Wiis truly collecting dust in the corner and shit. Does a Wii owner need another console "HD" to get the full gaming experiance? I just dont see what brings people to buying it unless they are really fat or have kids. Educate me

And what are "true games?" Please enlighten me...

I already answered that in my post... "true gaming" means it runs in HD.

Not at all. I have a psp and a ps2. a megadrive. a snes a nes a super nintendo, gamecube. I still play them all to this day. I have missed out a few consoles by the way.

you know a game that isnt like pets and stuf. I know the Wii has games but i here from many HD owners that the Wii has like just lots of kiddy games and shoverlware. I wouldnt really know but when i look at the top sellers on the Wii each week its just games that i really wouldnt usually play.

I played a car game with my nece on here Wii nefore. It was called GT something. It was kinda fun watching her beat me in a car game. i was like WTF where the Playstation so i can beat you on Gran Turismo. For me to get a console it needs a decent amount of games i would like but because i dont know about Wii gaming i wouldnt know where to start

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

The Wii isn't pretending to be a media center or a PC, so if people aren't buying it for gaming, what exactly do you think they are buying it for? The DSi only recently expanded the capabilities of the DS as an internet, music, and photo device, so obviously the first 100 million DSes are for gaming alone.

For me, the Wii is all about new experiences. Old games are fun, but I'm not inclined to invest hundreds of dollars to get the same experiences in larger and more detailed worlds. Of course there is room for crafting new experiences with old input devices, but new input methods open up even more possibilities and even make old ideas feel fresh again.

As for the DS, it was my first foray into handheld gaming. It has a huge and diverse library, and backwards compatibility with the GBA's only somewhat less impressive library. It offers a lot of new experiences, and even old experiences are fresh in that they can be enjoyed wherever I am. It's getting displaced somewhat by my iPhone (it has more important functions, and it's more pocket friendly), but I still find time to spend with my great DS games.

That video can't get enough attention.

Yh but stuf that like dont convince me. I am like so what experiances on the Wii is going to make me enjoy this game like. And thats what puts me off. Thats why i am trying to understand why people enjoy the Wii so i can understand it better.

Yh the fat comment is uncalled for it is kinda trollish to be honest. I just ment like Wii fit and people who want to be active but dont liek going gym of jogging

Wait

....Are you asking for us to start a list war? You want us to list awesome games? Is that what you're saying?

The games on the HD consoles for those "uber" "hardcore" or "L337" people who like PC style games, and love things like Starwars and Dungeons and Dragons. Wii and DS games are for regular gamers like the PS2 and PSX before.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

PS3 and 360 have alot of shovelware.  Any successful console has shovelware as any publisher wants to represent a successful console for profit.  Also, placing your judgement of the worth of a console on a game your niece played is outrageous.  It would be like me judging the PS3 solely by playing Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust.

Here, this is all the explanation I can give you.

Watch it. ALL OF IT.

That video was beatiful :D  simply wonderful!

Saying the DS has a few RPGs is like saying there's about 50 stars in the sky.
