I'm not sure if it's "gaming" because Wii Sports was the first of these crazy "video games" I've ever played.  I don't understand things like "gamepads" and "cutscenes".  A rocket launcher?  What's that?  I prefer games that focus on babiez, puppiez, and sword fightiez.

@seroius, have you actually looked at the DS library?  Maybe you should realize that not everyone is a big fan of the R rated games.  Look at the PC3, top 5 games are all rated >Teen, and take a look at DS top 50, not one of them will be rated >Teen.  Maybe there are really more gamers looking for non-M rated games.  If I take a look at the Wii, the first M game is located at #28.  If you take a close look at the PS2 sales list, you see a fairly good mix of R and non-R games all splitting the top sales.  So it is fairly obvious that there are huge number of different gamers tastes out there, and I'm sorry to break it too you, but many of them do not agree with your tastes.

Na its not that. Its just that since playstation all the 3rd parties were on that so i purchased game for that. The thing is going back a lot of my games were Sony made  and i never even knew about devs or anothing back then.

When i get a nintendo console i am like. Oh donkey kong, Mario Zelda, Maybe metriod but after that i start to get stuck. But i manage to find good games.

But the Wii and DS are so different that i just take a look at them look at afew ninty games and think yh this is good. Then i look at how may games i liek and then i think whats left? Nintendo is just changed far too much beyond recognition to me and i dont know what to buy. And all the talk of all these "shoverl games" puts me off.

I see a lot of kid games but then i think hey kids need to play games. The ps2 had kid games. Then i'm like but what do i want then i just get stuck. I am getting tired of all the Graphics kings FPS. I just had it drumed into me that many Wii games are of low quality and i cant list many games i want.

I will be forced to purchase a wii when Zelda comes out if it isnt the cell shaded cartoony link. But because i have such trouble liking what The wii does i just want to see what people see in it just to see if i am over looking something

you are supposed to say nintendo only has mario/zelda metroid and has done nothing else for the hardcore whilst simultaneously claiming that no star fox or kid icarus is proof of nintendo going casual. remember, if you dont metion games they dont exist.


if you actually want to be educated what are you looking for. games already out,. games coming this year games coming next year, games from a certain comapny or genre. remember that some genres are infinately stronger on wii that others. RPG and action adventure are way ahead of FPS

I have Wii and DS.

Brain Training sold me the DS, it's a damn addictive game, i got hooked at the first try. It has lots of great games, such as Brain Training, More Brain Training, NSMB, Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart DS etc. What's interesting is, that it's my first handheld ever since Game & Watch.

I was about to quit gaming, until TGS 2005, where Wii Remote was unveiled. After seeing the presentation, i knew that's the console i wanted. Virtual Console made it a day one purchase (or had, if i had found one before the end of january).
With games like Wii Sports and Wii Play my interest towards games like Twilight Princess, SMG and Metroid Prime grew back.

DS is mostly in use when i'm on a trip, or when my kids play it, but Wii is played daily. It also has a couple nice additions in the form of internet browser, news channel and forecast channel (the only source for weather forecast i have used in two years).

The greatest thing in DS:s and Wiis games library is, that they serve the more mature taste in games aswell, which can't be said about the competition.

And no, Wii owners don't need either of the two HD consoles. It's more like the HD console owners need Wii.

I will have a Nintendo system EVERY generation because my favorite videogame franchises are:

1). The Legend of Zelda
2). Metroid
3). Fire Emblem

There you go. I understand how it could be seriously frustrating for fans of other systems to a). not have their system on top and b). not be able to comprehend how people could like a system they truly loathe. But I think the Wii is awesome. And I love my DS too.  In this day in age, when bitter fanboy elitism sees the only stipulation of "full gaming experience" being screen resolution - it's interesting to see the Wii laugh in their faces and Nintendo all the way to the bank while the competitors bleed red ink.

Also, Nintendo is my favorite developer.

Well, I enjoy some of Nintendo´s franchises ever since my parents got me a NES back in 1988, when I was a little kid....so every gen I always get a Nintendo system just for the 1st party titles.

Though since the 5th generation owning only a Nintendo console isn´t enough for me, it´s a must have nonetheless.
