Think there's 2 pinball games on Wii. Also you say you just HAD to buy ratchet and clank for PS3, well the alternative for the Wii is staring you in the face. SMG! In most peoples' opinions too, it is a far superior game. So that should be a reason for buying the Wii in that case.

And sorry if i come across as hating the Wii. It just pisses me off that i have to purchase the Wii when the isnt that many games on it that i would enjoy just to get my mario and Zelda fix.

I might get one at the end of the gen to play mario and stuff. Which is against my rule of getting a nintendo console when the Zelda game launches.

I will probably get the Wii sooner if i can understand the concept behind it and its games.

For myself and many others, we either simple don't have the time or the motivation to play what you consider a 'true' game.   I grew up on Arcade games and Atari 2600 / Colecovision.    Games to me are meant to be quick, simple and fun, not a major investment of time with complicated controls that need to be memorized.    In that regard Wii is the only system with a lot of 'true' games  (although Xbox has a lot to download).  

Wii also offers fitness titles and Wii Fit gets used more than any other game I own.   This is a major driver of the system, especially amongst women.  

Wii does have a lot of what you think of as 'real' games as well and I own many of them but rarely have time to play them.

I do have a 360 as well but since most of my gaming time is spent in 5 - 20 minute sessions, Wii gets used over the 360 9 out of 10 times.

DS offers a much more diverse game experience than the PSP.   Heck, 90% of PSP games are gimped console games stuck on a portable.   DS offers quick games perfect for playing on the go, games for non-gamers - Brain Age, Crosswords, etc.   Games for girls - Nintendogs and hundreds of others, novel games and lots of RPGs.   

 

I don't have a Wii yet but I love my DS. The DS rules. Probably the most anticipated 2010 game for me is the Miles Edgeworth Investigations game since I loved the first four Ace Attorneys. And these days I don't get hyped for new releases that often. I'll pick up a Wii eventually though. My current Wii wishlist: No More Heroes 1 + 2, Muramasa, Madworld, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Punch-Out!! and some other titles that look interesting. The Wii is a fun console. It gets a lot of unnecessary hate. I love my more "core" games on the 360 but instead of getting another "core" system (PS3), I want to try something different.

I mean c'mon, with Wii, you have access to most of the best games of NES/SNES/N64/Master System/Megadrive/Turbografx/C64/Neo-Geo/ Arcade, plus the complete GC library and the Wii library itself. And with DS, you may also play GBA games, and have access to two of the most famous and complete portable libraries ever created: if that guy finds nearly nothing he likes, not even 10 games for each system, he just has very bad tastes, or should learn more about videogames...

Either case, too bad for him, and i don't care... but some good posts here anyway... :)
