Forums - Sony Discussion - MotorStorm Arctic Edge vs. Gran Turismo PSP

Who is buying which and for what reasons?

Currently on Gamerankings.com Gran Turismo PSP has a 76% and MotorStorm: AE has an 83%.

Since both released so close to each other how did/will you purchase?

Both.

I bought GT PSP because I wanted a game to play while on the train. From all the bad reviews it actually sounded like the perfect commuting game... and it is. I just can't wait to unlock custom soundtracks.

I can just turn it on, play a few races easily. Also, over time I'll get to collect different cars and do the driving test which is crazy hard for me atm.

I heard that GT PSP didn't have many on the features that other GT games have had. Is that true?

No, absolutely not.

GT PSP is only missing a career mode. It has 800 cars and 35 tracks which will keep you hooked for a long time. And plus there's driving challenges (which are hard) and as you keep winning on a track, you can actually change the difficulty of the AI on that track.

There's alot more to it than you think.

they are different kinds of games. GT PSP is a highly realistic racing sim and Motorstorm is arcadey and.. its motorstorm. get both. GT PSP is much better than 76 btw. It is at least an 88. It just got hated on for no career mode which it really doesn't need. I've got 25 hours in so far and im no where near done.

i have got both

they are great games i tought that gt woulb be better than it really is on the other hand motorstorm is better than i thougt if i had to choose i would go to motorstorm

The point I tried to make with this thread is that MotorStorm is a budding franchise for Sony. While Gran Turismo is an established franchise for Sony.

They are both racing games, releasing a mere week apart on a re-born platform.
