It would have been impossible for Wii to maintain the 200-400% sales advantage over its competitors forever, but it's certainly not going away. I can't see any other outcome this generation besides Nintendo winning out.
Nintendo already won. The question is, can the Wii sell the most console hardware, since the DS is well on its way already to be the best game system of all time.
@DonWii: I think the Wii has a very good chance against the DS, but let's consider that handhelds usually have a mucho longer lifespan compared to home consoles. As of current, the Wii has been selling at a higher pace compared to the DS.
^Exactly. I expect the DS to continue to sell for another 8 years, with a few re-designs, and many colors.
