Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Big Forza Fan -- Underwhelmed by the Forza 3 demo. :(

I was underwhelmed but then it's just a demo..

I was told that if the damage was any greater then the ratings on the game would have to go higher for older audience but I dunno if this is true..

I guess we'll see when it comes out if it looks better.. anyway *goes back to playing his mmo*

i liked the demo
but i will not judge the game over a tiny demo
ill wait for reviews

Im sorry?  You're not going to judge it by your own hands on experience?  You're going to wait to see if other people like it before you decide if you like it?  That sounds a little odd.  If you liked the demo I think you'll like the game.

Does your car still do a 180 everytime you graze a wall?

I'm not sure what you expected.... the game looks better and there is more of it... there was never going to be a huge change, there never is in game series of this nature.

Well maybe if Turn 10 didn't hyped it up to the roof (of the universe) people wouldn't be whining now. All that bullshit about Forza 3 beeing the definitive racing game of this gen, with best everything... bla bla bla. Without the hype people ppl would be happy with what they're getting and no fan would be disappointed.

This  plus...

I know it's just a demo.  I know it doesn't have all the tracks and cars, online (I don't do onine), and customization but the core gameplay is there.  You know, car, track, visuals, controls, etc.  The core gameplay, in my opinion, isn't much evolved from Forza 2.  From the hype T10 put out there, I expected to be, well, blown away.

Part of it is that I feel F2 was an exceptional game to begin with so all they hype made my expectations rather high...

@skee and fetlic

no it doesnt. go talk about weather or damage in a GT5 thread.... or better still about when it will be released in the west.

I know the first part was directed at me, but are you telling me to go talk about weather or damage in a gt5 thread? or was that directed at someone else?

I must add that I play games on two screens: during the day on my 42" sharp Aquos. In the evenings, I play on a 720P HD projector on an 8' diagonal screen. Graphic flaws (or lack thereof) are really obvious on a screen that big. F2 looked great on the projector. So does F3 -- just not a lot better.

I find it highly amusing people have taken a definitive verdict on a demo which contained 1 track and small selection of cars. The build was more than likely outdated so it could actually look different to the final product. There was no online, customisation, different race modes, the other 400 cars and 99 tracks. The demo also didn't show any of the new career modes either might I add.

Bearing all of the above in mind you've somehow come to the conclusion that its only a small evolutionary step, perhaps you never really wanted to like the game. It doesn't matter to me if you don't bother with the game anyway as it's no skin of my nose but if you feel there is justification for another Forza thread on these forums where you're entitled to give an opinion then I don;t see an issue in us expressing ours that you're jumping the gun. For the record I thought the demo was a great brief impression of the game and I will be picking it up at launch.

Perhaps you didn't read my original post?  I didn't just want to like the game.  I wanted to love the game.  I'm a huge Forza 2 fan...
